Chapter 17

Yeonjun's POV
Pain. That was the only thing I could feel right now. Is this how I end? Will I never see them again? The whip came down again and again. I could hear HueningKai crying my name over and over again, screaming for them to stop whipping me, but the only answer was a high-pitched cruel laughter as it kept coming down. I didn't even have the energy to turn my head to HueningKai, to calm the crying boy down. Slowly, darkness started to consume me.

Jimin's POV
Oh god, where are you? Please, be safe. I thought to myself as I explored the island with Jin hyung and Beomgyu. We had split info 3 teams, to cover more area in a shorter period of time. Conversing with the two of them beside me quietly, in order not to alert any potential enemies of our presence. CLINK. I widened my eyes as the grass in front automatically cleared, revealing a large hole, that kind of looked like an entrance to something...

"What did you do?" Jin hyung asked. I shrugged, moving my leg slightly to reveal a weird-looking stone below. "I guess this was what I stepped on to open that? Let's check it out!" I suggested, walking to the hole. There was a ladder, which was probably what they used to climb down. Jin nodded at Beomgyu, who at once communicated to the other members to ask them to come immediately.Within seconds, the other BTS members landed softly on the grass beside us, having flew here, carrying Soobin and Taehyun. Jungkook and Taehyun who were the bravest went down the hole first. The other 8 waited at the top with bated breath as we heard a soft thud, signalling that they had reached the bottom.

Just as we were about to heave a sigh of relief, a muffled yell from the bottom made our ears perk up again. A slight scuffle was heard before everything went silent. I nudged Namjoon hyung, who immediately tried to connect with Jungkook.

Namjoon's POV

Jungkook! What's going on?
There were guards down here, but Taehyun and I knocked them out cold.
Are you both okay?
I got a scratch or two, but Taehyun healed it in a second, so we're both fine.
Great, did you find anything?
A tunnel...i think it's quite long, come on down, it's safe.
On my way.

I gestured to the others to start climbing down the ladder while I kept a lookout for any potential enemies. "Joon, let's go," Jin called out as his head disappeared down the hole. I took a last look around the area, making sure no one was watching us, before starting to climb down as well.

Landing with a soft thud, I looked around, finding 7 pairs of eyes looking at me. "Where's Taehyun and Jungkook?" I asked. "They went down the tunnel ahead, and asked us to follow once you're down," Soobin said, starting to walk toward the tunnel with Beomgyu, leading the way. We soon found Jungkook and Taehyun after walking down the tunnel for a few minutes. They were leaning against the wall, Taehyun holding Jungkook as he healed Jungkook's wounds. They had clearly just met some guards who were blocking their way, for there were now several guards lying on the floor, knocked out cold. After a few seconds, Jungkook's wounds were completely gone and we continued advancing, to what we could only hope, was their base.

After a long silent walk, we finally ended up facing a large door. This seemed...way too easy for us, doesn't it?
