Y/n and Shawn had just arrived outside the bar. Shawn pressed his foot on the brake pedal to stop the car from moving and turned off the engine. They both walked out and stalked to the bar's entrance.
Y/n: Is this the place?
Y/n asked, as a buffled expression sculpted her exquisite face.
S: Yup. Don't you like it?
He moved closer so that he can extend and slither his arm around her waist, just barely above her buttocks. The warm and sudden touch of her friend's arm caught her off guard. Her cheeks started burning and changing shades, despite the coral pink rouge she had applied earlier.
Y/n: It looks pretty. Pretty shabby.
S: HUH?!
Shawn's soft expression was now replaced by an offended and stiffer one.
S: Well, you should not judge a book by its cover.
His arms now folded in front of his chest as he strided towards the bar's door.
Y/n: Whatever, is Vic already here?
S: I bet you can already guess what she's up to.
Y/n: I think that we can both picture her doing it.
They both laughed audibly, resurrecting the aphotic and quiescent night.
Shawn slid the door open only to find themselves in an alleyway; straight like a drinking straw and almost as narrow. The ceiling was - relatively - low and a seedy pendant light was hanging on it. Someone - just a tad - taller than Shawn, could definitely brush against it. The floor was creaking with every step they took, causing y/n to cling onto Shawn's arm and her body hairs to bristle from the daunting sounds.
Y/n: What the hell is this place?!
She hissed in an - almost - whispering tone, as if there was someone tailing them. Her performance earned a chortle from Shawn, who was distinctively calm and collected.
S: It's- a b- it's a bar.
He managed to spit out, trying to restrain himself from letting out the laugh he was holding back. Y/n looked preposterous in Shawn's eyes but he didn't want to manifest that in the presence of her.
Y/n: It doesn't look like one whatsoever.
They took one more step and they were now standing in front of a flush mahogany door. Shawn gripped the door knob to rotate it and the door swung open.
The transition from the murky and disturbing room to the - now - delightful and riotous one, plastered a smile on y/n's face.
Although the space was confined, it was overflowing by an agglomeration of people, who had also decided to gallivant during those festive days.Moving forward into the bar Shawn's eyes caught Victoria's figure jiving to the music's tempo. A maketh the man art deco tumbler containing - plausibly - a strong intoxicating beverage on her right hand and an unfamiliar company of striplings. Y/n seemed to pick up on her friend's presence soon after, stumbling across the torrent of people till they both managed to be within reach.
Victoria also seemed to descry her long seen friends and raised her hands, coiling them in the air elatedly. She - literally - jumped on y/n, wrapping her arms around the other female's waist, clutching it with such vigor, she felt like her ribs would get crushed to dust at any time. After pulling away, a long sigh of alleviation was let out.
V: I missed you so so so freaking much y/n, you can't even imagine.
Y/n: Oh yeah I can, we're on the same boat. I missed you too baby.
