SADIE CULLEN'S ENTIRE biological sequence had completely died the moment she... well... died. Everything that ever gave her any sort of indication that she was capable of feeling was out the window.

But in this moment she could swear she was transported right back to twenty-two years ago. She was in touch with everything once again. All the adrenaline coursing through her blood due to fear. The aggressive thumping within her chest and in the back of her head due to over-stressing her current situation. The shaky hands and trembling jaw with stinging eye's threatening to spill tears.

She had never felt more human than she did as she paced Bella Swan's room, the girl's phone in hand with Jacob's contact ringing. Given that he had blocked her number she knew reaching out through a mutual friend's phone was the only way to reach him. Either that or she would have to storm down to the Res and demand he talk to her despite the consequences. But that would mean going against the treaty for the third time in just less than six months and facing the consequences more harsh than they should have been.

So the decision spoke for itself.

"Jacob fucking Black," she hissed into the phone as she was met with what could only be described as the hundredth time she had been met with the monotone voice of the answering machine. "answer this goddamn phone or so help me God I will hunt you to the ends of the Earth and superglue that goddamn cell phone to the side of your face so you never ignore me again. Do you hear me? Pick up the damn phone!"

With a heavy groan, she pulled the phone from her ear and hung up, ready to dial again. But much to her dismay she was met with a new response from the automated machine.

'This inbox is full...'

"God fucking damnit!"

"Is he still not answering?" Bella's voice approached from the end of the hall. Shaking her head at her friend, Sadie slumped back against the mattress and covered her face to shield her eyes from the light. She felt the bed dip beside her as the Swan girl took a seat. Picking up her phone, she let out a sigh while looking over all the ignored calls on the outgoing log. "How sick does he have to be to not be able to pick up the phone?" she asked aloud.
