AS SOON AS Edward had heard the sound of the engine roaring and the tires against the gravel and dirt, he rushed outside and stood in front of the large house.

He crossed his arms as Sadie pulled up in his car. The dissatisfaction in his demeanor was evident and she could hear his jagged breaths from where she stood a few feet away. "Took you long enough." he hissed stomping down the steps.

She pulled the keys from the ignition and got out of the car. "What's with your attitude?" she asked cringing at his tone.

"I don't have time to explain." he snatched the keys from her hand and pushed past her. His head shot up before he even reached his car. He whipped his body around at lightning speed. His eyes flashed with indignation. "Why is her smell lingering in there?" he clenched his jaw, referring to Bella's, who Sadie had just dropped off about twenty minutes ago.

It did not take a genius to figure out his issue. Sadie had pieced it together quicker than anything in that moment. His tantrum was a direct result of exactly what Bella had just been telling her about.

He shook his head. "Or why it's all over you?"

Sadie bit the inside of her cheek and shook her head. "I thought you didn't have time." she repeated, hating being on the receiving end of the interrogation.

Edward scanned her over before sighing heavily through his nose and strutting away. "It's fine," he said. "I suppose the wet dog smell will mask her's." he said reaching for the door, only to stop and look up at his younger sister once again as he realized the words he had just spoken. "Why does it smell like wet dog?"

"Go!" Sadie scoffed at him, hoping whatever situation he was in right now was on a time limit so that he could stop asking questions.
