SHE WAS STUCK walking—or, running—after school had ended. She could not ride with her brothers and sisters. How was she supposed to ask them to drop her off at a certain location so that she could be able to meet a werewolf?

Part of her was skeptical. She wondered why she had even agreed to meet him. They had nothing to talk about. They had no reason to even be within the same vicinity. Especially due to their families treaties.

Which was why it both did and did not surprise Sadie when Jacob Black had asked her to meet him at the entrance of the small town of Forks.

Her feet got her there in about less than seven minutes. She looked around at her surroundings, searching for the long haired boy. He was nowhere to be found.

She pulled out her phone and pulled up his number in her messages log.

Where are you ??

Almost a minute later, a new message came in.

I'm coming relax

She set her bag down on the ground and sat on top of it. It had been raining earlier that day, and she did not really plan on sitting on the grass and having a wet stain on the back of her pants. She decided that if she was going to be waiting, she may as well get started on some homework.

This was one of the parts she hated about her new life. Having to repeat high school over and over again. She could recite every one of her teachers' lessons from the last decade without even thinking about it. She wanted to just be done and never do it again.

But unfortunately she did not have the privilege of looking as old as the rest of her "siblings". If she did not attend school, people would be curious. Not like the others where they looked grown enough to be in college.
