SHE DEPARTED FROM her siblings in the parking lot that afternoon. Convincing Edward to let her take his car, she was on her way.
She had no idea where in particular it was that she was going, but there was no way she was heading home yet. She just wanted to be alone. As usual.
Normally she would walk and delay herself from getting back at a reasonable time. But she was too tired to walk. Not physically but mentally. It was times like this where she wished she could sleep. Rest and recover from a long hard day. Being around Bella, although they only had few classes together, was draining her.
It was hard not to leap over the desk and jump right at the poor girl and sink her teeth into her neck at every opportunity she got. She was frankly quite impressed at the level of self control she had all day. But that much self control requires a shit ton of energy. Energy she did not have.
Now it was her time to be alone and gather herself.
She could not hunt today. She refused to let herself. If she wanted to be like the rest of her family, she would have to start telling herself right from wrong. And she would have to start listening.
It was dark out. Around eight. And she was currently doing, nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
She sat in her car staring directly out the window. Her mind flooded with memories. This was the part she hated about being alone. Her thoughts were too loud. Too annoying. She wished she could cleanse her brain and rid herself of her memories from her past life.
But she woke up a new creature, not a new person.
Everything that had happened to her had happened in the past, yes. But it still happened to her. And she could not forget it. Any of it. No measure of time would be enough to help her move on.
