Chapter 15

I look behind me, Wendy is holding my hand wearing a worried look. She takes me into a hug, wrapping my arms around her neck, I cry onto her shoulder. I loved Jungkook, we smiled we laughed, we.....kissed. I cant get the fact that he would do something like that to me, It all seemed so genuine.

"Forget about him, you don't need him to make you happy, I'm here for you...."

She shushes my cries while walking me to an empty drawing room. I lift my head from her shoulder, looking into her eyes. Wendy smiles at me, rubbing my shoulder she sighs looking around the room.

"I cant believe he would do something like that to you"

Leaning back in the seat, My mind goes through all the times we shared together, from when we first met to when I last left. It irritates me, the fact that I fell for him, all of his lies, that he must of been laughing to himself all the times I said that I showed any affection towards him, I wipe my tears away after the door opens after being knocked.

Hoseok walks in with the same worried face as Wendy, He sits down across from us. It's nice of him to come here, but I'm pretty sure I ruined the day, they are only married and I made their first day married all about me, I feel selfish.

"Are you okay Y/n, I'm so sorry about what happened out there...."

I'm guessing he doesn't know what to say, I force a smile onto my face, taking the handkerchief he offers me, The only noise in the room is the crackling of the fire. I look up at them with my forced smile.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me just enjoy your day, don't let me spoil it"

Wendy wraps her arm around my shoulder, turning me to look at her, Looking deadly in my eyes she takes my into a warm hug. I smile, a real smile.

"I'm still your best friend even if I'm married, and if that Duchess ever talks bad about you here again I'll make sure she never sees the light of day again"

Hoseok stands up, leaving us alone. I burst out crying as soon as the door closes. I hug Wendy again, taking in all of her features, she smells like a spring day, flowers, her hair, like silk. I moved back, sniffling looking up at her.

"What am I going to do without you?"

Wendy chuckles, tears welling in her eyes, she holds my shoulders, looking at me smiling.

"What will I do without you?"

We hug each other, we are going to miss each other. I feel bad for Wendy, she has no one, except Hoseok who will obviously have King duties to deal with, she will know nobody in the court, she will be alone, at least I know people in the village.

The heart breaking time came for my departure back home, I hugged Wendy for the last time, savouring it for it will be a long time till I see her again. Ofcoarse Jungkook and Taeyeon aren't there to wish me farewell, I don't know and don't care where they are.

I open the door, walking through the comforting hall, greeted by my mother who is happy to see me, she takes me into her warm embrace, I cry wrapping my arms around her. She looks down at me worried, I cry and cry in her arms.
