Chapter 16

closing the gate behind me, I walk down the dusty road to the village centre, not many are outside, which makes it a peaceful walk, the noise of chatter and laughing filling my ears as I walk closer to the market, a group of women walking out from the market, my eyes lock with one of them, looking at her expressions she looks happy?

Pulling her friends over to me, they stand in front of me as the brunette with green eyes speaks up.

"Are you miss Y/n?"

I nod, they giggle and hold each others hands, making me confused doesn't everyone know everyone here?

 "Oh, we love you, you stayed in the palace with Prince Taehyung, oh and you were attacked by a creepy man, what happened?"

They all lean closer waiting for me to speak, the way they talk aggravates me, they speak too fast, like a child who has had too much sweet food. They are also very nosy.

"I don't feel comfortable telling you that"

I try to walk away, but they follow me, I guess they aren't going to give up. They walk close to me, now beside me, holding onto their bonnets. Can they not respect some ones privacy?!

"What are you uncomfortable with, we aren't going to kill you, we aren't ugly?"

I beg to differ......One touches my shoulder as if to soothe me, which does not help. They ask again to tell them what the man did to me. I stop in my place, turning around to look at them. They nearly fall over each other, not expecting to stop so suddenly.

"If I am not comfortable to tell you, I am not going to tell you or anyone else, please have manners and respect my decision and my privacy"

They look at me with disgust, then look at each other as if they are offended that I didn't tell them. The one in the centre walks forward, I suspect she is either the eldest or the leader. Pointing her finger at me as she narrowed her eyes.

"I suggest you respect us, we just wanted to know what happened and you attack us with your attitude, how disrespectful"

She growls at me, they are definitely not from this village, I would know them and they aren't ringing a bell. She smirks at me looking behind her at her two companions. The noise of a horse suddenly interrupts my thoughts of where these girls are from.

"I suggest that you mind your manners"

The three of them look up at the owner of the voice, their eyes hang from their sockets, mouths wide open, inviting flies, but honestly I don't think flies would want to go in there with the amount of waste that pours out of their mouths. 

"W-we are sorry your h-highness, we are j-just leaving..."

They curtsy, looking at Taehyung one last time before running off, I guess they have never seen the prince before and this close up, and that he gave off to them the first time they ever seen him. 

Taehyung swings a leg around the horse, jumping down, holding onto the reins, walking over to me, he looks around the village, then back at me, he walks with me, the horse following behind.

"How are you, I wasn't there to see you off at Hoseok's castle"

Taehyung looks at me, a cool breeze floating through the air. I look up at him, holding my basket against my stomach.

"I'm fine, just lonely without Wendy"

I sigh swinging the basket at my side looking around the village seeing as more people are coming out from their houses.
