"M'lady, you have been asleep for about twelve hours." Ellis reports as we walk through the halls of the Phantomhive manor. I'm wearing a dark blue dress, courtesy of the guard dog, Ciel, himself. "What happened while I was out?" I snap. My mood has obviously worsened after the encounter with Alois. The only upside to this fiasco was that I didn't receive any brain damage.

"We have reached a mutual understanding." The tall man stops in front of large wooden doors. I wipe my finger across a fresh stain on his dark suit. His lips curl at the edges as he licks the blood off of my skin. The green cove I once took refuge in sparkles for just a moment. "Shall we, my lady?" With a simple nod of my head, I command him to open the door the boy's office.

My head is held high as I stride into the full room. Ciel and Alois are seated across from each other while Claud and Sebastian stand by their masters. All turn to me the moment I step into the room. Alois is the first to look away, most likely from shame. The atmosphere is stiff, and the air is scented with earl grey tea.

The red eyed butler places a teacup and saucer in front of me as well as a slice of some sort of pastry. Ciel continues to track me as I take my seat next to Alois, "Should she be up alrea-"

"I'm fine," I cut him off as I smooth down my dress. "I've dealt with much worse. I can't quite say the same for that bovine ogress of yours."

The brat near jumps out of his seat at the insult, but he manages to remain calm. "I have already spoken to her."

Does he think this is a joke? That speaking to that girl will satisfy me? My rump remains in my seat as I maintain the regal facade of a woman. "Are you out of your mind? Do you think talking to her is enough? I should have put an end to the girl on the spot. How childish!" My voice remains bubbly as venom discreetly slips into my tone.

My hand gently slithers onto Alois' arm. It gains a strange look from both Claude and Ellis before my blonde companion entangles his fingers with mine. The smooth emerald on my ring was visible to all who wished to see as I took a sip of the compelling morning tea.

"But nevertheless, let us move on, shall we? Let bygones be bygones and assume such a thing will never happen again." I meet the gaze of Sebastian who still wore a disgusting smile. I fight the urge to scowl at the man who battles a chuckle in response.

The blue haired boy clears his throat, not noticing any of my silent interactions. "The Queen has ordered us to work together. I apologize for the trouble my idiotic fiancée has caused and I ask that we are able to put that behind us as we work on the investigation." The words aren't his own. This must have been part of the agreement between the men in the room.

Ciel takes a breath before continuing. "There have been a series of cases that the Queen describes as 'The Walking Dead'. Our job is to put an end to this disgusting affair."

I place the white and blue teacup back onto its saucer. I playfully let out a small giggle, "Then let us get started."
