I can think right now is how boring. The dog, spider, and I, one who lacks a nickname, are gathered in my small parlor. As always, our butlers have no intentions of solving the mystery for us, so the three of us are left to put our heads together. For better or worse, I stopped listening to the discussion. I want to move my body, to take some kind of action.

I stab my lavender rose mousse with my spoon before guiding the last bite to my awaiting lips. My gut craves for more, but I hide the feeling and place the small spoon in its place on my golden place mat. Having nothing else to do, I slump into Alois' shoulder and listen into the conversation.

"That's the third time you've said that," Ciel complains and then looks pointedly at you. "And the third time you've done that."

"Well I don't hear you coming up with any ideas," Alois retaliates. "Or getting any special attention. You're the one who has a fiancée."

"Oh, shut it, you pig. At least I have class." Ciel continues to belittle the blonde boy whose fingers I begin to play with, now only out of spite. "Only someone as uncultured as you would do such things in the company of others!"

Alois chuckles with a sour twinge of instability causing me to look up from our now entwined fingers and properly process the conversation. "See, I knew it. You're jealous!" His own laughter interrupts him. "How pathetic are you?!"

"That's enough," I say calmly, purposefully allowing Alois to have the last word. Ciel has his mouth ready to complain so I repeat, "That. Is. Enough." I look at the twisted faces of the two immature boys. "We have work to do, do we not?" No one dares to interrupt. "Ciel, make a list of all the locations, dates, and times of which the events in question occurred. Alois, you make a list of common symptoms and make note of all anomalies."

I stand up and look down at the two quietly seated boys, knowing I have already slipped my note into Alois' pocket. It seems they do know how to behave, and all it took was a little training.

"What are you waiting for? Get to work." I leave the grand parlor, passing by the red-eyed man in the doorway. His orbs remain fixed on my form as I pass by. A shiver runs down my spine as the butler clad in black winks, sending me off with a slightly unnerved feeling.

As I sit on a cloth in the back acres of my home, I struggle with a decision. My mind has hit a fork in the road and I'm lost on which way to go. A sigh escapes from between my lips as I stare through my reflection in the small pond before me. Grey clouds ride along the once cheerful green plains of England. The scene is now washed out and dullness resides as far as my eyes can see.

"Do you love him?" I tear my gaze away from the window and face the blunt speaker. The boy, just taller than I, stands clad in his blue attire with a sense of authority over the manor. His exposed sapphire eye isn't looking at me, but instead to the sky above . I copy suit.

"Why do you care?" I ask, knowing that he doesn't. The wind blows across the pond, causing small waves, similar to the unrest in my mind.

"I don't love Elizabeth; never did. Marrying her is just what was expected of me." My eyes tear away from the sky as I give the older boy a pointed look, curious of where this is going. Why would such a strait-laced boy willingly open up to me? "YN," He addresses me by name for the first time. "Deep down, you know what you want. No one has a right to stop you, so simply take it. That is why my manor is so splendid. That is why I am so high in society. "

He taps his cane once for good measure and turns to leave. "Wait," I speak up, causing him to slow his pace to a halt, yet doesn't turn around. "Thanks." He dips his head in a shallow nod and exits the kitchen.
