"Your cooperation is highly appreciated," I thank Ciel in the parkway. He ignores my words as he steps into his carriage. His butler, whose name is escaping me, bows deeply while maintaining an absurd amount of eye contact with Ellis.
Most likely tired of waiting, Ciel demands his driver to go and instructs his loyal butler to arrive at the manor prior to him. I sigh and brush my skirts off as I watch the horse pulled vehicle disappear into the distance.
Catching me off guard, a gloved hand takes hold of my own. The red eyed man curls his lips, emanating a husky aura. His pale lips lightly brush the length of my finger before pressing firmly on my emerald ring. Finally releasing my hand, the man looms above me, "Have a good evening, Miss YN." With those final words, he checks his pocket watch and takes his leave.
"Don't ever be with that man alone." My eyes race up to Ellis' and I nod immediately. Despite being my father figure, it is strange for him to demand things. When he does, it's always for a good reason. Always. The last time he had given me such instructions was on the boat coming from France. He had told me to stay in the room and not to open the door for anyone or anything. Only some of the crew, Ellis, and I survived the trip; the rest died of a plague.
"Understood." I nodded as I retired to my sleeping chambers.
The next day, after my morning lessons, I sit at my desk and sip on my freshly brewed tea. The lists the so-called spider and dog had compiled turned out to be rather decent. Although it is far from enough to solve the case, all the medical information will get very helpful in diagnosing a proper cause of death and the list Ciel created will help if there is a need to find a culprit.
A soft knock at the door pulls my attention from the series of papers sprawled across my desk. "Come in." The door opens slowly, first revealing Ellis who bows slightly, annoyance sprawled across his face. Soon, the cause is revealed as my blonde companion comes into view.
"You have a guest," Ellis states, holding the door open for the cheeky male. I smile warmly at their behavior.
"Thank you, Ellis," I say, insinuating that he may leave. Taking the hint, the man reluctantly closes the door behind him, allowing me to finally get some alone time with the light blue-eyed man. Or boy.
"Good morning," I call from my wooden seat, still intent on completing today's work. I'll have to find out if the zombification is due to disease and if so, how one can fall ill to it. I repeatedly tap my quill on the edge of my ink bottle.
Warm arms wrap around my neck, resting on my chest. Appreciating the kind notion, I lean my head against him and take a deep breath, allowing my eyes to close for a second. "Don't think so much," he coos. His voice becomes muffled as he secures his head in the crook of my neck. "You called, I came."
He fits perfectly, as if we were built for this moment. A shiver of excitement passes down my spine and I can't help but to stop it. "You feel it too, right?" he mumbles, his tongue just flicking against the surface of my skin. I can't bring myself to properly formulate words and my hum of agreement elevates into a needy moan.
"Tell me that it's not just me. Say that you made a mistake two years ago," Alois whispers huskily. "You rejected me once as a boy. Now, I want you to say that you see me as a man." My breath catches in my throat as his teeth nip at the side of my neck, making their way up my jaw and to my lips. His teeth play with my lower lip as he refuses to provide me with what I so desperately crave.
"P- Please Alois," I finally mumble out. The area between my legs throb, causing me to forget the scattered papers and butler who could easily be just down the hall. "Please, I need to sort out my thoughts and feelings." I beg, unfurling my fingers from my dress and bringing my hand to his face.
Finally, his lips push against my own and I move mine against his. Within another second, he has retracted.
"I need assurance, YN. This can't continue on much longer. In fact, I'm surprised it's been allowed to continue this long." His eyes looked at me, begging for mercy. "We're not children. We have obligations."
And with a nod, I know he is right.
