Danarya's P.O.V.

Something is not right. I'm sensing that Sapha is still alive. Riatis said as the armory helpers struggled to get the armor around his giant body. It's coming from Easthaven. I need to go to her Danarya. I sucked in a breath as the master of armory cinched my custom armor tighter around me. "We can go to Easthaven when we are done here. Okay?" I said as the last of my latches were being snapped together. "Excuse me?" The old man said as he stood from his place, wiping beads of sweat from his forehead. "Not you. I was talking to the dragon." The old man slowly walked behind his counter and pulled out something wrapped in a worn canvas material. "You provided extra coins for the armor set, so I figured that I would have the forge smith you a custom made sword to match the new armor. I give you, Stormbreaker." He said as he opened the canvas material, revealing a newly polished sword with a dragon wing hilt and a mounted black pearl and a white opal jewel.

I took the sword in my hands. It was perfectly balanced. It is absolutely stunning. I thought to myself as I gave my first ever sword a couple practice swings. "This is perfect, just what the new armor needed. Thank you." I said to the old man before walking out of the building to find a rather dashing Riatis fitted with all of his armor. "You look mighty handsome." I said to the dragon as I attached the sword to his saddle and pulled myself up. "Now it is off to Easthaven."

Eliar's P.O.V.

It was still storming in the morning when Thaebir and I awoke. "Well it looks like we are stuck in the cave until this storm passes." I said, trying to warm myself with a dying fire. No. You are stuck in the cave. I need to go and hunt. Thaebir said as he stood in the cave, almost touching the ceiling. "If you find any dry wood or twigs, bring them back." I said as he walked out of the mouth of the cave. He let out a little chuckle before saying, Finding anything dry in this weather is going to be impossible. With that being said, he disappeared into the interior of the island.

I was left all alone in a steadily growing colder cave with three dragon eggs and no idea when their mother was going to return. "I guess that it is just going to be the four of us for a little while." I said as I walked over to the glowing eggs.

It seemed like an eternity had passed and I was sure that I had grown into an old man before Thaebir returned to the cave with a bundle of wood in his jaws. He set the sopping wet wood down on the ground and said, I would let that dry for a little while. Even dragon fire won't light that right now. He looked back at the dragon eggs and said, Speaking of dragons, we are about to have three new visitors. I looked back towards the eggs, and sure enough, one had started to crack open revealing a golden tail.

This is not good. Their mother should have been back by now. A mother dragon is always there for the hatching of her young. Thaebir said as he looked out of the cave and to the sky, trying to see if there were any signs of the female dragon returning. "What are we going to do? We can't just leave them here to die. They are our last hope at keeping the dragon population alive!" I said to Thaebir, walking closer to the hatching eggs. "They are going to be hungry when they fully hatch. We need to go and get them food."

Thaebir let out a groan as he once more walked out of the cave entrance and into the freezing cold rain. I turned back towards the glowing eggs to check on their progress.

By the time that Thaebir returned to the cave, the baby golden dragon was almost completely hatched, and the other two had started, revealing a purple foot from one and a pink wing from the other. We need to add more wood to the fire or they will never survive their first night outside of their shells. Thaebir said as he dropped a large mouthful of fish in front of the hatching dragons.

I quickly placed more wood on top of the barely glowing embers. Only now had I realized how cold the cave had become. I stepped back to allow Thaebir enough room to light the fire without harming me. The small cave was almost instantly warm after the still damp wood caught flame. "What are we going to do with these babies?" I questioned as they stirred about in their eggs in response to the sudden temperature change. It wasn't going to be long before all three of them were out of their shells and roaming about this cave. We don't even know if they will survive their first night. Let's not get our hopes up just yet. Thaebir said as he curled up next to the entrance.

It was nearly night when the three babies broke out of their shell prison. They all wore bright colors all over their scales. The first thing that they all did was go straight to the pile of fish that was stinking up the cave. After a couple of minutes, there was nothing left except for a pile of pot belly dragons. "How fast will they grow?" I asked Thaebir as I held my hand out to the golden dragon. It is hard to tell without knowing exactly what breed of dragon they are, but a typical dragon will triple in size every week until it is fully grown.

It was hard to believe that, but at the same time, I wasn't able to see Thaebir when he was a baby. I met him after he was already fully grown.

The babies started to cry out for their mother, but they were met with no response. It was sad knowing that they would grow up without knowing the love of a mother. They need a female dragon to raise them. We have to go back to Easthaven. Thaebir said as he looked out of the cave. The rain should be over before we wake in the morning. We leave tomorrow.
