Dantis' P.O.V.

"I don't know what to do Brooke." I said as I paced back and forth in our chambers. "My mother isn't returning my letters, my sister wants nothing to do with me, our kingdom is ready to burn this place to the ground, all while evil rises in the land of Mordor." Brooke grabbed ahold of my arms, stopping me from my frantic pacing. "You will figure it out. I promise that you will. You weren't chosen to be King for no reason. The fates must see something in you that we can not see just yet." She always knew what to say to calm me down and get me in the right headspace. "You are probably right. I want you to send word that there will be a meeting involving this strike first thing in the morning. Hopefully this is the last meeting that we will have to have on this matter." She nodded her head before leaving our chambers.

I sat there for a while, trying to think about how my mother would handle this situation that I had gotten myself into.

After a good long while I stood from my bed and made my way to the throne room to attend to some minor matters of the kingdom.

Eliar's P.O.V.

"How close are we to the first island?" I asked Thaebir as we flew through dark clouds and strong winds. I don't know. We really shouldn't have left without that map Eliar. A storm is upon us and we have nowhere to take shelter. We are sitting ducks out here. Thaebir said as he tried to fly lower, looking for any signs of land.

The wind over the western sea was bitter cold this time of the year. "We need to land soon or else we might not make it all the way to Hastolar." I said as I hunkered down as close as I could get to Thaebir, trying to keep warm against the storm. I think that I can see a small island. Do you want me to circle around it to make sure that it is safe first? My dragon asked through the link. "Yes Thaebir. Circle the island a couple of times. Maybe we can find a cave or something to take shelter in before the storm hits!" The wind was so strong and loud that I had to yell over it just to be heard.

We circled the island probably three or four times before Thaebir landed on the loose sand of the northernmost beach. I thought that I saw a cave nearby. We can take shelter there for the night. He said as he started walking in the direction of the cave.

It was a small damp cave, barely big enough for the two of us. I had gathered some twigs and driftwood to try and warm the cave with a fire. Watch out. Thaebir said as I set the pile of slightly dry wood in the middle of the cave. I moved out of the way as Thaebir let out a little puff of fire onto the pile.

When the cave was lit up by the fire, I could see something at the back of the cave start to shimmer. "What are those?" I questioned out loud as I walked to the back of the cave and picked one up to show Thaebir. Those are dragon eggs. I didn't know that any mated pairs were still alive after the slaughter of Dynir and Neimi. I looked at them in awe. They were the most beautiful thing that I had ever seen. "What do you want to do with them Thaebir?" I asked him as I set the egg back down into the nest. We should leave them be. Who knows when their mother and father will be back to take care of them. Thaebir said as he curled up towards the front of the cave, blocking the entrance.

I walked up there by him and tried to get as comfortable as I could on the stone floor of the cave. "At least it is warm in here." I said with a laugh as I tried to get some sleep.

Elrond's P.O.V.

I was awoken from my deep slumber by a loud knocking at my door. I stood and tried to wipe as much sleep from my eyes as I could while also trying to straighten my robe.
