Skylar's pov
I ran through the tree line hoping to get home soon as I wanted to see my dad since I've been on this mission for a while or nap...I could use a long nap right about now. Once I made it to my front yard it started to rain lightly but I didn't care since I was mostly tired from the mission I just got back from but I couldn't shake the feeling that something big was going to happen. I glanced at the front porch and freaked out momentarily when I saw a figure on my porch then I calmed down once I saw it was my father but it was odd he didn't normal just wait for me outside normally he waited inside.

"Hello father!" I chirp trying to tease him cause after a mission I love teasing my family, since I'm still younger then most my rank...is that why Altair chose to Mentor me? Oh well I'll wonder about it later, pulling my hood down when I stepped on the porch and out of the rain then I remove the bandana that was covering my nose and mouth so I could talk to him without the bandana muffling me.

"Hello Skylar..." he trails off sadly. Now I'm worried he never calls me by my full name the farthest he goes is 'Sky' and even that's pushing it. Then we walk inside together I relaxed a little bit but couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching us.

"Ok father what's wrong?" I asked cause normally he would be annoyed by me calling him 'father'...he says it makes him feel old which I guess having four kids will do to you.

"I think he should tell you..." he trails off pointing to the roof where the rafters were. Instinctively I look up and see...my Mentor Altair?! So that's why I felt like we were being watched.

"Me, Ezio, and Conner want you, one of our best stealth assassins weather you're a Master Assassin or not, to steal the Declaration of Independence and see if a theory we have about an extremely old mission is correct" he says not wasting time when he jumps down I release the breath I didn't know I was holding. This must be a top secret mission and for him to trust me enough to come here and give me the mission cause Altair doesn't personally give missions even if he is their Mentor. Once I snap out of my thoughts I respectfully bow to him.

"I'll leave as soon as possible Mentor" I reply, knowing that he likes it when his assassin's take the mission as seriously as he does...which since he's personally giving me this one I do, he nods and quickly leaves. I go upstairs to my room and pack a bag with the essentials that I might need like extra clothes, phone, money, charger, my daggers, and a few bandanas to avoid any accident that could happen. Then I throw it into my duffel bag, throw the duffle bag over my shoulder, then I walked downstairs where my dad was waiting for me I smiled slightly and went up to him. He quickly pulls me into a hug which I happily returned.

"Please be safe" he whispers in my ear so quietly I almost didn't hear it we stayed like that for a moment just holding each other and I found myself wondering where my twin was. I pulled back and put my hands on his shoulders and looked him in the eyes he looked back into my eyes.

"I'll try to be safe and to return but nothing is a hundred percent in our field of work father" I say he shakes his head with a smile on his face and with a fake annoyed look...there he is.

"You trying better get you back here...your mother already moved onto someone else because of this work...if you see your brother tell him to hurry up as well and stop calling me father!" He warns I smile and nod then I leave the house free running towards the woods. I run past the tree line to a abandoned path that lead to a nearby city, to be fair I had to run in the woods for about ten or so minutes. Once I made it to the town I decided to go get a friend of mine as having him help me would be beneficial. I went towards the liquor store that his house was next to but speaking as he's almost like the stereotypical Russian I don't question it. Once I make it to his house I take a sniff and just smell a strong scent vodka which this place has always smelled like so that wasn't any different I wonder how he'll react to me returning so soon speaking as I was just here because of 'our' last mission, every assassin nowadays are given a hackers to make some of our job easier, unlike other assassins I made friends with my hackers. I take a breath and knock on the door since he could be a little bit moody after missions...no answer this man i swear to god so I knock again this time a little harsher but once again no answer this man I swear so I decide the only reasonable way to get him to answer was to give his door a good old search warrant knock...once I do I hear a thud on the inside maybe in the living room? Maybe I woke him up from a nap, or he was startled and is now thinking of a way to lie to someone with a search warrant either way he's going to answer the door now so win win.

'Watch out Templars cause you won't be able to see us coming' was my last thought before someone on the other side answered the door. Oh I can't wait to see the look in his face when he see's that it's not the police it's me! haha loser.
