Nate's pov
I was watching some historians talk about the Declaration on TV and drinking the half empty bottle of vodka that was in my hands, while also slowly drifting off since I just got back from a long and tiring mission, when I hear a loud search warrant type knock at my door I fall of my couch and quickly sit up deciding on how to answer the door when I just decided to yell at the person, I need to know who it is cause if it's the cops I'm answering differently then if it was someone else.

"WHO THE FUCK IS IT!!" I yelled not wanting to get up from my spot on the floor...well actually I stood up and dusted myself off not wanting to look weird if it was a neighbor or my landlord.

"IT'S SKYLAR YOU DUMB FUCK!!" A female voice replied quite harshly I froze if she's back here so soon then that means...a big mission and a lot of money.

"Coming! I'm coming hang on! I'm fucking hurrying!" I say knowing she would leave if I took too long cause if it's an important mission then she'll need to start right away. I jump over the back of the couch and run over to the door then I quickly open it and there stood my assassin partner she looked unimpressed like always.

"What's the mission Sky? Must be important if you're back this soon" I asked her she rolled her eyes and sighs as I let her inside so we wouldn't get found out by eavesdroppers cause then that'll be extremely bad.

"Mentor Altair, Ezio, and Connor wants us to steal the Declaration of Independence says they wanna see if they are correct about something" she says bouncing on her heels with her arms behind her back. I smile at the thought of a difficult mission that will take some time to complete me and her almost never get the hard missions since the harder missions are for the people with higher rankings.

"And Mentor Altair gave me the mission personally" she adds looking around the room mostly at the TV that still was on that historian channel I smile knowing it's rare for The Altair to personally give missions to even his best Master Assassins so he must believe that me and Skylar could do this mission or at least get farther then others could or have...maybe it's not just a theory maybe others have just failed at getting the answers to three of them want.

"Finally a tuff mission for us" I said, snapping out of my thoughts, excited she smiles and nods happily she pulls down her hood, causing her hair to fall everywhere, and goes out into my kitchen and grabs the Jack Daniels I keep in my kitchen for when she comes over which sometimes she just comes over to talk to me as me and her have like a brother sister kind of relationship.

"Yeah rough missions are hard to come across for people my rank aren't they? They mostly go to the Master Assassins" She says pulling out a fresh bottle while I nod and hurry up to my room, so that I can collect my things so that we can leave, and grab the empty backpack, that I had just emptied since we just finished a mission, and placed it on my desk then I went around the room to collect what I'll need which was my laptop, phone, wallet, feathers for the proof of kill just in case we get extra missions, and some of my vodka that I leave in a mini fridge then I placed them all in the backpack then I put the bag on my back and went downstairs and saw Skylar she seemed ready to leave then again in her profession she always has to be ready to leave.

"Ready to leave Sky? Cause I've got everything" I asked her she nods and picks up her bag, which I had just noticed that she put down, and we left. I locked to door behind me cause I know I'm coming back here and I don't need anything stolen while we're gone. We went to a bus stop a while away from my house and looked at the bus map we talked about which one to take to get where as we also needed a place to set up base for a little bit when I saw one that looked good so I pointed to it.

"This one will take us to a pretty unpopular café where I can use the laptop to find assassin friendly hotels and even the declaration after it's not on display but we need a place with at least decent Wi-Fi connection" I say she nods and we wait for the bus to pull up to the bus stop the whole time we just talked about random stuff and when it does we quickly hop on and find a seat towards the back, far enough so we we're away from eavesdroppers, but close enough not to be suspicious.

"Wonder what awaits us this time?" Sky asked me I smiled and nodded. I looked up at the bus driver and saw he wasn't looking so I pulled my vodka bottle out she looks  at me then smirks and pulls a Jack Daniels bottle out of her bag and we opened them together and took a sip we just sat there and laughed quietly at different things that we talked about. Then when the bus stopped we hopped off and started towards a café quickly so that I could find a place to set up base that'll have decent Wi-Fi connection for me and a decent viewpoint for her.

'Here we go onto a mission that could change the course of the country' I thought as we walked into the café we looked around and noticed this place was pretty empty just like I said it should so we went and picked a corner table and set up there.
