Skylar's pov
Me and Mercedes just stared at each other for a good 5 minutes in silence.
*present time*
"MOM! We're hungry!" I stopped telling the story for a moment and looked at my twin 12 year old kids, one girl and one boy, and sighed.
"Ok Jake, Wendy what do you want to eat now?" I asked them.
"Carrots" they said I sighed and got up and went to the kitchen and grabbed a bag then walked back out and threw it at them but they caught them.
"Thanks mommy" they said so I sat down and continued the story.
*flashback*
"So anyone else up?" I asked she shook her head.
"No but I am!" She said.
'She can't be this stupid' I thought.
"Maybe she's a Templar" I thought walking over to the pigeon on the window sill.
"What's a Templar?" She asked I stopped.
"What?" I asked maybe she could read minds?!
"You said 'maybe she's a Templar' so what's a Templar?" She explained oh I said it out loud.
'Never mind she is that stupid' I thought.
"Umm a friend" I said hoping she'd but it which thankfully she did.
"Can we be friends?" She asked I froze umm.
"Sure why not" I say wincing and she smiles widely then she hugs me.
"Yay!" She says.
*present*
"Wait I thought only family were allowed to hug you?" Wendy asked me.
"Yeah but they didn't know that" I say they nod and I go back to my story.
*flashback*
"Ok give me a minute" I say she nods and I turn to the pigeon and give him the mission with the feather.
"Go" I whisper and the bird flies off.
"Alright umm wait what time is it?" I asked while looking at the time.
'8:30 am'
'Wow that took me an hour and a half? Damn' I thought as Dad walks down the stairs.
"Breakfast?" He asked I nodded hoping he makes his pancakes cause they were good.
*after breakfast*
We all sat at the table when I opened the container and carefully unrolled the Declaration and place paperweights on the corners.
"Lemons and a hair dryer please" Sacara says Katie nods and grabs the lemons and Nate grabbed and holds the hair dryer we all waited then I see it in the top right hand corner.... the Templar cross. I looked up at Arno and nod he smiles and leaves to probably to find dad to let him know.
"Numbers?" They asked then one of the clues that the Mentor gave me came to mind.
'Silence is the key?...but why would silence be capitalized unless...its a name...but everything has had something to do with the US history so what is important to our history with a name Silence...THE SILENCE DO GOOD LETTERS?!' I thought but how do I tell them about it without them being suspicious. Then I hear a door open and close from the hallway.
'The basement! Shit!' I thought then Katie walks in...fuck.
"Why do you guys have so much money down there but live out here?" She asked mentally I panic but don't show it.
"We like to save up but we like living out here more it's quiet and peaceful" I say she continues to glare but I ignore it cause Altair glare is WAY more terrifying and I've been on the end of his glare once or twice growing up.
"Anyway I've seen a weird assortment of letters in these orders" I say changing the subject that caused them to look at me.
"The silence do good letters and don't have to steal them they're on display" I say they think before nodding.
"Alright let's go check it out!" I say they nod and I head to my dad's room.
"Dad" I whisper he opens the door and let's me inside.
"Ok so we're going to the silence do good letter's" I whisper so that they don't hear me.
"Alright I'll let them know you found something" he says I nod and leave.
"Let's go" I yelled then we start leaving.
*at the letters*
I stood there looking at the letters getting the last few letters to the clue when just as I got them and started leaving I felt someone put a hand on my shoulder like I was an old buddy but I felt a gun poke out from their sleeve.
"Nice to see you again Ms. Dorian" Charles Lee says, damn I let my guard down, I frown and check the clue.
'S.T.O.W'
'Stow is the last bit' I thought.
"What do you want Lee?" I ask quietly knowing as long as I don't cause a scene right now he won't.
"The clue" he says just as quietly I nod and hand him the paper, and since it was just the last four letters they will either follow us or figure it out, and he leaves with the last four letters. I run to the group.
"Stow" I say Nate nods and types it into the computer then he looks over it.
"The liberty bell" he says after a few minutes of silence we all smile.
"When?" I asked he looks at the computer then makes an annoyed face.
"Two pm" he says and we all groan out of frustration.
"It's two thirty" I sigh and then it got quiet.
"Wait!" Sacara says we all look at her.
"Daylight savings time wasn't made yet back then so two thirty now was one thirty then" she says we all smile and run to the place quickly hoping to get there on time. We walk into the building and walked around.
"In here" I whisper blocking the 'staff only' sign just as we got up to the top I checked my phone.
'2:59 pm'
I sigh only a minute left we made it on time I glanced around.
"Alex I'll keep an eye out for Charles" I whisper to him and Nate they nod but Katie side eyes me.
Arno's pov
We all looked around as an alarm from my phone signals
'3:00 pm'
Or with the time we're using 2:00 PM.
"Guys I see it!" I say then before I could do anything.
"Yeah well I see Charles" Skylar says worried.
"Shit. Ok you guys distract and I'll get the next clue" I say they nod and run down the stairs while I climbed down the wall and onto the roof below then I used one of my daggers to get the marked brick out of the wall I grabbed the glasses that were inside then I place the brick back but backwards so no-one would see the symbol then I booked it to the meeting spot.
"Ok first we get back home since it's a safe place" I say and everyone nods probably wanting to sleep or eat. We start heading home but when we get there I see three forms on the porch one male two females.
Skylar's pov
"There you are if you can be an assassin at this age then you can raise your younger brother" our mother says.
*present*
"Wait mother?!" Jake screeched.
"Yes her mother who not a very nice person" my husband Jett says walking into the room.
"Hey Jett" I said as he gave the kids a hug.
"Hey Sky" he says I smile.
*flashback*
"Hey wait get back here!" I say running after her.
