National Treasure

The Chance Meeting.

Skylar's pov
I left Nate on his own in the café so that I can find a viewpoint at least for the area so that we don't get lost in the future. I free run up the alleyway wall onto a nearby rooftop and looked upwards and saw I could go higher so I climbed and as I was on the wall getting ready to climb higher I looked and saw a silver haired girl sitting on the rooftop just staring at me. Me and her made eye contact, with her sky blue eyes staring into my dark green ones, but her eyes and face held confusion I started panicking the inside.

'Shit what do I do?! Fuck fuck fuck' I thought over and over for a good 10 minutes before I said the first thing that came into my mind that made some sort of sense.

"Parkour" I said hoping she would believe it. She walked over to me her sky blue eyes still staring into my dark green ones. I look down and saw I was still on the wall I jumped down and once I land on the rooftop again I stood up and was face to face with her.

"Teach me please!" She says. Mentally I start thanking the lord cause that could've been messy if she didn't believe me.

"Later so I have to meet up with a friend wanna come?" I ask, knowing she'll want to come with I saw it in her eyes and cause if I didn't she would've 'followed' me, I sigh and pull down my bandana she nods happily then we use the fire escape, that I didn't know was there, to get down. Mentally keeping note of the slight Scottish accent in her voice which was poorly hidden.

'Remember don't get distracted from your mission you need to steal the declaration of independence not make friends with some girl that thinks parkour is cool' I think making sure to remined myself of the mission so that I don't get distracted.

"Here we are!" I said when we made it to the café where Nate should still be set up in. I pulled my hood down, annoyed that I never got that viewpoint, before we walked inside.

Mercedes' pov
I watched as she pulled her hood down, seeming annoyed about something, causing her dark brown hair fell out. She walked into the café while I was staring so I followed her in and she walked over to a light brown haired male. He seemed to be looking at a blueprint but he removed it before I could see of what wonder what they were doing.

"Who's this?" I asked, he seemed annoyed that I would even dare ask a question, but he soon calmed down when she spoke up as she also sent him a glare.

"This is Aaron and I'm Alexis but you can just call me Alex or Lexi if you like" she says with an Australian accent pointing to him then herself introducing them.

"Now who are you?" He asked when an unknown accent the smell of alcohol coming from him which almost made me flinch but I needed to be brave. The person that sent me here said that some people are meaner then others...he appears to be one of the meaner ones.

"Mercedes" I say quietly introducing myself to them they nod and when he pulls out a bottle of vodka he drinks it straight from the bottle then he handed Lexi a bottle of Jack Daniels and she drinks it from the bottle as well which is odd since they look close to my age but oh well. Then we started walking out of the place they seem to be talking with their eyes about something.

"What brings you to D.c?" Aaron asked me not looking away from Lexi before he looked down at his phone.

Skylar's pov

"What brings you to D.c?" Nate asked Mercedes while looking at me before deciding to check something on his phone so I looked away from him.

"Watch where the fuck you're going" a female voice says with a Mexican accent I quickly turn around and see my partner on the ground phone still in hand and the women standing up I over to him I narrow my eyes and go over to him.

"Aaron are you ok?" I asked, using his fake name, helping him up from the ground.

"Fine" he said as he stood up then he turned around and faced the girl, he had his normal glare on his face.

"Fucking watch it!" He growled and moved to the empty spot behind me careful not to bump into Mercedes.

"Sorry...so where are you heading?" All of us asked each other at the same time. But I'm just trying my hardest not to hit her for blaming my partner I mean she should've been watching where she was going to.

"To see the Declaration of Independence" we all say unison, as I just lie and Nate stays quiet, I smile and nod

"Well then why don't we all head there together and I'll pay for whatever is needed just to cover any apologies that didn't happen?" I ask and everyone sighs but nods. I make eye contact with Nate, nod, and he nods back. We finally got there after 20 minutes of walking which for me and Nate was nothing since we've walked/ran longer.

"Sacara?!" Mercedes yells, when we walked inside the building, and she saw another female who walked over to us and Nate hid further behind me he never was a people person.

"Hey Mercedes who are these guys?" The girl who I'm assuming is Sacara asked.

"This is Lexi, Aaron, and..." she said pointing at us as she lists off who we were but she trails off at the end making us all realize that we never got the girls name.

"Katie" the girl says ok so now we know each others names. My eyes drift away from the group and to the Declaration that was just a few feet away from us. Bullet proof glass, and heat sensors. Great a challenge that's always fun I looked back over to the group and saw them all analyzing it as well well not Nate he trusts me. But I could use that little bit of information to my advantage.

"Why don't we stay together?" I asked shurgging.
