Karis

The sun was blazing, with valentines day approaching the market was full of roses, chocolate and other beautiful gifts. Ashton looked handsome, almost like a local with his boat shoes and shorts. I'd never tell him that, you could never tell a Spaniard that he looked Italian.

He looked like something was bothering him, we hadn't done much talking since we arrived just planing and other things. Even on my birthday, we didn't do much.

"Ashton, you're not seriously thinking about buying that boat are you?" I frowned.

"Kari"

I wrapped my arms around his neck smiling sweetly, "Ashton, try and buy that boat and Bianchi won't be the only one after your life. Why do you want it anyway?"

"I know how much it means to you and you know I've always wanted a yacht."

I smiled up at him as he wrapped his arms around my waist, "Ashton you could have bought a boat ages ago and any other boat would be fine."

"Look it came up on my radar and knowing I have something we cherished will make me happy. You loved it when we used to go away on the boat. You know before, you left me for him."

I frowned pulling away from him, "You..."

"I didn't fit into that life Karis and look at what happened. You stayed  with him and look where we are."

He trailed behind me as I moved to a different stall, "You see Ashton I knew this was going to happen, I'm sorry that I chose to work with Nickolas and get engaged to Bianchi but I can't change anything about that. I warned you to stay away and you can't blame me for that."

I paused looking deeply into his eyes, "I love you, more than you could ever comprehend and I'm scared that as much as I try to run away from that life it will keep creeping back up to me and you. There is only so much I can protect you from. So you either suck it up from this point forward or I call you a plane."

Ashton frowned his eyebrows furrowed and he started to turn red. I know he wanted to say words he knew he couldn't but it's not my fault. I warned him to stay away.

"Karis I will always stick by your side through everything. This is not what you wanted. You deserve better than this." He motioned to around us, "  GB's it's apart of our past though It may include him it's still a time that I cherish between us."

I held onto his cheek, "Ashton we don't need that boat, let's just find what we're looking for and go home. I know we came here for a little break but we can see what we can find if that makes you feel better."

He nodded, "I love you, Princesa"

"I don't need a boat to make me happy. You make me happy and that's enough for me. You're enough."

I smiled brightly leaning up to peck his lips instead it turned into a passionate expression of love. He brought my face closer to his pulling my bottom lip using his teeth.

"You didn't just come on this trip to pressure me into not buying the boat did you?"

"Nope," I said popping the 'P' "Tobias is here and I don't know why but Peyton warned me that something was going on. I need to know what Tobias is after before he figures out that I have what he wants."

"What about Francesco Bianchi?" he said as he pulled me away from the crowds into the shade. Saying Francesco's name in public in Milan could cause some trouble.

"He is the main problem but we can't be on the same side as Tobias we'll be caught in a civil war, we fend for ourselves and no one else. Not Bianchi, not Tobias. The Hastings spilt the Bianchi Famiglia in half.  Trust no one and don't get caught on either side"
