Love's confusing

part 2- friends forever

Alex pov
"Hey Alex" Cameron cooed at me. I gave him a smile. I was nervous coming to this school. I'd gone to a boys school all my life would it be different with girls?
And then I saw her.
She was beautiful in every way imaginable. Her black wavy hair bounced off her shoulders as she laughed with her friends. Her friends saw me and told her to look in my direction.
Her hazel eyes shone in the sunlight as she turned to look at me. Her pink lips glistened as she spoke
"Hi I'm Katie"
I stuttered nervously .
"H-hi I'm Alex"
Gosh her beauty was just making me so nervous.
The queue moved forward.
"Your name please"
"Alex Walker"
"Ok you're in 7H"
I smiled to myself. Sounds good.
"Your name please"
"Cameron Reid "
"Ok you're in 7H"
Cameron beamed. Oh no. Why did he have to be in the same form as me. Now he'll never stop annoying me.

Yes I like him I suppose. But he seems to like me a bit too much. And I'm straight. At least I think I am. But I don't want to hurt his feelings so I've been playing along my whole life. I wish he knew. I'll tell him. I don't know when. But I will. I've never thought of him in that way and I never will. I'll tell him ....soon...
"Your name please"
"Katie Price "
"You're in 7H"
She smiled. So did I. She was going to be in the same form as me. Things where going well.
"What form are you in Alex?"
She came up to me smiling.
"7H. What about you?"
"Yayy we are in the same form" she smiled cutely and her dimples showed.
"All right children choose your seats you will sit here for the rest of the term to get to know each other"
Cameron looked at me. Oh no. If I spent a whole term with him I'd probably accidentally lead him on. I looked at Katie. And as if she read my thoughts she grabbed my hand and sat me down on a chair next to her. Away from Cameron.

For the first time I felt some sense of freedom. I could do whatever I want and not have to dance to Camerons tune. Katie flashed me a knowing smile.
"It's ok, I get you"
I breathed a sigh of relief. A friend that would finally understand how I felt instead of constantly talking about themselves.
I've wanted this longer than I thought...
