part 11 - checkmate

Soon enough the results where decided. The top four people where Katie, Alex , Georgia and a boy names Josh. Cameron was 5th on the list and reserve in case anyone couldn't go. Richard , through his stalkerish network, found out the results before they where announced. He was grief stricken. The moment when the list was handed to him and he saw Cameron's name 5th was a hard one for him. His face went pale and his eyes became dull and grey. Richard ordered for the selectors to be held hostage until they changed the list.
Richards men forced him to take Katie's name off the list.
When the list was announced, katie was livid. She knew she deserved a place in that top four and she was told before she will almost 100% likely be sent. Her heartbreak was too much for her father, Chris price to see.
Chris was a MI5 agent and he knew that Richard was on the world's wanted list. All he didn't know was that Richard was Cameron's father and he had stolen Katie's place in the top four.

When the results where announced, Cameron was obviously ecstatic that both him and Alex got selected but he was also suspicious. As badly as he wanted to be in the top four he knew that Katie deserved that place more than he did. He knew he had to do something. He just wasn't sure when...or how...

-at Cameron's house-
"Mum, don't you think it's bit weird how I got selected instead of katie? " Cameron said, placing his empty dinner plate in the sink.
"What? No honey of course it's not wierd. You deserve that spot and the selectors finally saw your talent." His mum said, coming up to him and playing with his hair.
"But mum Katie deserved that place more than I did..."
"JUST WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY CAMERON REID? CAN'T YOU BE HAPPY WITH SOMETHING FOR ONCE? AND WHAT COULD'VE EVEN HAPPENED?" His mum, Karen yelled at the top of her voice. She couldn't lie for much longer and she was beggining to get frustrated.
"WHAT ABOUT FATHER HUH?!" Cameron blurted out back.
"HE'S THE ONE WHO GOT YOU IN SO BE THANKFUL YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT" Karen yelled back at him. She paused for a moment and realised what she said.
" H-he did?H-hes alive..." Cameron trailed off... tears forming in his eyes.
"Tell me the truth. Tell me everything. I deserve to know the truth about my father...."
