Gulf had no idea when he came to work this morning he would be subjected to inquisition level questioning. He was overwhelmed by the endless barrage from Perth and Saint. He trusted that both men only wanted the information for personal reasons, not to cause any harm, but he still felt strange divulging details about the club and it's owner and employee. Having walked the path both Saint and Perth were headed down, gave Gulf a unique point of view. Mew had already been involved in the BDSM world when he and Gulf met and Gulf knew about the sex club through other means. But still, Gulf knew the curiosity and misconceptions that Perth and Saint probably had about Zee especially. "So what's his story, why the 2 clubs and all the secrets?" Asked Perth about Zee. "There's no secret, not really. It's just kind of like you either know or you don't." Gulf tried to explain. Frustrated with his vague answer Perth continued "OK but what does that even mean, 'you either know or you don't'. Quit trying to be coy and just give us a straight answer, Gulf." "I'm not trying to be coy, I'm trying to respect the privacy of my boy friend and his friends. I think these are questions you need to be asking Zee and Earth. If they want to explain what they do there then they can, it's not my place. Please don't ask me to betray anyone's confidence." "We would never ask or expect you to do that Gulf." Saint said feeling they were placing undue pressure on their assistant. "SPEAK FOR YOURSELF! That's exactly what I want him to do!" Perth corrected rising from his seat to come and sit on his desk facing Saint. "Look I just think you have the right to know what your getting into with this guy. I mean it's like you said, you have Mia to think about and you wanna be sure the environment is safe." Perth added. Hearing the accusatory tone in Perths voice lead Gulf to rise from his seat and speak up in defense of his friend. "Look, I'm not going into detail about the club or what does on there, but what I will say, with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY is that Zee is a great guy. He is not some sex crazed pervert or whatever other stereotype you might have in your head. I don't talk about this, because its not something I'm proud of and it's not anyone's business, but there was a time, long before I got this job, that I was living on the streets. I had been cut off by everyone I thought loved me and did some really horrible things to stay alive. Mew found me outside the bar where he and Zee were working, beaten and thrown behind a dumpster like trash."
"They took me back to their apartment, got me patched up, fed me and gave me a place to sleep. Zee told me I could stay as long as I needed and that I could think of him and Mew like family. With Mew it was easy, it was literally love at first sight. But with Zee, I was nobody to him and he still went above and beyond. Not because he had to, or because he wanted something from me, he just wanted me to get stronger, better, happier. They helped me get my life together, Mew helped me study for my GED and Zee paid my tuition the first year I went to college. To this day he won't let me pay him back a dime either. What I'm trying to say, is that Zee and Mew saved my life." Gulf sat back down embarrassed by his outburst. He subconsciously reached up to touch the simple black necklace he always wore. A gift from Zee and Mew on the night they promised to help Gulf take back control of his life.
