The light shining in the bedroom windows wasn't what woke Perth from his blissful sleep, it was the absence of a soft, warm body curled up tight next to his. Leaning up on his elbows Perth glaced toward the bathroom noticing the open door. Then he listened and swore he heard music coming from the kitchen. Throwing his robe over his boxers he quietly went in search of his missing house guest.

Earth was to distracted whisking eggs and dancing around the kitchen in one of Perths dress shirts and boxers to notice the owner of said shirt standing at the foot of the stairs watching in awe.

Not wanting to startle his kitten and possibly ruin what seemed to be a well thought out breakfast Perth tiptoed back up the stairs to freshen up and make a much more announced entrance. A few minutes later he called out as he decended the stairs still in his robe "Do I smell bacon and coffee?" Standing by the table, overlooking the cityscape, Earth beamed as he said "I made us breakfast, I hope you don't mind me commendeering your kitchen. I just wanted to make sure you ate something before heading to the office since I kept you awake so late." Walking over and gathering Earth in his arms Perth placed a kiss on the side of his neck making Earth giggle and squirm. "That was very thoughtful Kitten, I appreciate it and it looks delicious. However, you dancing around in my shirt actually making it was a far more delectable sight." Embarrassed at being discovered, Earth tried to pull away as Perth continued to attack his neck and cheeks causing a fit of laughter to erupt from the smaller man. "You sneak! I thought you were still sleeping." Earth squeeked as he finally managed to escape Perths grasp. "I'm sorry Kitten, I missed your warm body next to mine." Perth said sliding his hand through Earths soft hair to cup the back of his head and pull him in for a real kiss. Earth gladly allowed himself to be pulled wanting to remember the taste and heat of last night. Pulling back from Perths lips with more than a little difficulty, Earth said "Ok, sit and eat before it gets cold. I'll get you some coffee." When he returned to sit across from Perth at the table he saw the other man hadn't touched his food. Concerned he asked "Is something wrong? Don't you like it? I can make you something else." Earth went to retrieve the plate but was stopped when Perth gently grabbed his hand and finally spoke "No Kitten, it's not that, really everything looks wonderful. It's just that, this is the first time I've actually had breakfast in this kitchen." Shaking his head and motioning for Earth to sit back down Perth continued "I usually just grab a piece of fruit or a PowerBar on the way out the door in the mornings. I didn't even know I had all this in the fridge." Relieved and amused Earth confessed, "You didn't, your refrigerator was the epitome of bachelor chic. All I found in there were 2 beers, an empty jar of pickles and about 3 unidentifiable take out containers which I disposed of for you, your welcome for that by the way." Gesturing toward the table full of food Perth asked "Then how in the world did you do all this?" Rolling his eyes at the clueless yet adorable man in front of him, Earth answered "Your building has a delivery service for groceries in addition to the take out with which you are obviously familiar. I saw the sign in the elevator the first time you brought me over. All I did was call down last night after you went to bed and requested a delivery for this morning. Lucky for me you're a heavy sleeper." Earth said with a grin. Perth couldn't take his eyes off the man in front of him. "You did all that just to make me breakfast?" Looking down at the table, then out at the view, anywhere except at Perth, Earth answered shyly "I like to do things to make important people in my life happy. I haven't really had the opportunity in a long time. I'm a half way decent cook and I picked up a few tricks from Zee, he's like almost a chef. It was no trouble, I just wanted to take care of you." Perth could see the emotion swimming in his kittens deep, dark eyes. Reaching across the table Perth took Earths hand and brought it to his lips for an oh so gentle kiss. "I love it Kitten! And I can't wait to taste all these wonderful dishes." Seeing the smile return to Earths face was all the reassurance Perth needed to know he was back to himself. "Here, try the omelet, I'm pretty proud of this dish." Earth said bringing up a bite to feed Perth.
