Demi
"I would say this is amazing but with the tears rolling down your face and the sad look in your eyes, I'm gonna say that it isn't."
"I don't think we're ready for this baby. I'm stressed as it is with looking after Peyton, planning the wedding and going to work and I-I keep getting these pounding headaches. I start my tour next month and I'm off to Europe in October. Are we really ready for this baby, Nick?" he lowered the test down onto the counter as he stepped towards me.
"There's never a right time to have a baby. I think we know that already" I sniffled, Nick gently wiping the tears from my cheeks. "We weren't even together when we had Peyton and I may be a little biased but I think he's turned into the most incredible little boy."
"I'm gonna be 6 months in October. Would you really be okay with me touring because if I remember rightly, you hated the idea of me touring when I was pregnant with Peyton" he sighed, his lips leaning to press delicately against my forehead. His arms locked loosely around my neck as mine circled around his waist. I clutched his shirt in my hands and released a breath as I nuzzled my face into his neck.
"We'll make this work, Baby."
"I've just gotten back into the studio; I've just found where I want to go and now this..." a lump rapidly formed in my throat and my voice cracked.
"I know, Dems" Nick's fingers ran into my hair, his lips pressing a gentle kiss to the side of my head.
"Why does everything happen at the wrong time?"
"I don't know, Baby."
-
Nick's fingers ran through my hair as I remained cuddled into him, my arm draped over his stomach, my leg intertwined with his. He every so often pressed a kiss against my forehead and the gesture made my heart so full. There is nothing better than just cuddling up together, silently enjoying each other's company.
"Did you say something about headaches?"
"They're nothing too serious, don't worry about them."
"Demi..." his voice was stern.
"I think they're to do with the pregnancy. I mentioned them to Jill, she was the person who said I could be pregnant. She brought the test."
"You think you should visit the doctor?"
"I plan to make an appointment tomorrow" I looked up at him and smirked. He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "I'm fine. I promise."
"Why didn't you tell me about the headaches?" I sighed and pulled my eyes away from his as I snuggled more into him.
"Because I didn't want you to worry and I'm a mom, I have more important things to worry about" I was forced to detach myself from Nick as he shuffled down the bed so we were face to face. He rolled onto his side, his hand moving to settle on my waist, his thumb running along my tummy.
"Yeah, you're a mom but your health shouldn't take a backseat to that. Your health is important, Demi."
"I know, it's just sometimes I forget" Nick pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead as he gently stroked his fingers along my cheek, his other hand still settled on my waist.
"You can't forget, Demi, it's your health."
"Okay, I get it. Are you done with the lecture?" Nick lightly chuckled as he nodded, his fingers running into my hair.
"I'm done with the lecture."
"You promise?"
"I promise, Dems"
"This time next year, we're gonna have two children."
"And we'll be married" a wide smile formed on my face.
"I'm gonna have to put dress shopping on hold."
"You have plenty of time to find a dress, Dems" I lightly pushed at Nick's shoulder until he laid back on the bed. I threw my leg over his waist, my hands settling on his torso as I straddled him. "Can I help you?" I giggled lightly as I very delicately rotated my hips. He groaned, his hands settling on my hips to momentarily holt my movements. I smiled down at him, my smile grew as Nick's hand moved to settle on my stomach. "Our baby's growing in here" I chewed on my lip as Nick began to trace his fingers along my bare tummy.
"That tickles, Nicholas" he lightly chuckled.
"Peyton's gonna be a big brother."
"You think he'll be a good big brother?"
"He'll be an amazing big brother. We're both older siblings so we can show him how to be a good big brother" I took a hold of Nick's hand and pulled it from my tummy. I locked our fingers together, smiling down at our intertwined fingers. "You want a girl or a boy?"
"I don't care. I just hope they're healthy, that's all I care about. What about you?"
"Same" I rolled my eyes and Nick lightly chuckled. "So, how are you feeling now about everything?" I released a breath, staring down at his hands for a moment before glancing up at him with a smile.
"We can do this. We can make it work. We're gonna have another baby" I leant forward as Nick's fingers ran up my body and into my hair, his grip wasn't tight but it was enough to turn me on.
"Yeah, we got this" I brushed my lips against his, my hips rotating over his rapidly hardening dick. Even though I said everything would be okay, there was still a heavy feeling in the pit of my stomach, a feeling that I was struggling to shake. I think I just made a promise I'm not sure I can keep.
