With all the chaos happening so fast, I had forgotten that Sabi couldn't stand the sight of blood and as soon as I unlocked the door and looked down, the whole room went black.

We all rushed to her side forgetting the open closet door for a moment. Ryan told me and Marvin to go back and deal with the situation while he took care of her.

She was so lucky to have him and I was lucky to have finally found Marvin. We had both gone through so much before and honestly, all 4 of us just wanted to be happy.

I knew coming here was a bad idea but Sab and I just wanted our freedom. We wanted to prove everyone who didn't believe us wrong.

Marvin and I took a deep breath and went back to the closet. He saw how nervous and scared I was so he extended his hand for me to take it, and when I did he smiled. 3...2...1... We mouthed and walked together.

The blood had obviously come from a body, but when we got there, we didn't expect to see a dead......puppy.

"A puppy? Where did he come from and how did he get in there?" Marvin asked.

"Maybe it was the previous owner's puppy, and they were in such a hurry to leave they forgot?"

"To take their dead dog??" he questioned.

"I don't know! I'm trying to think of something logical." I exclaimed.

Ryan heard us and came back into the room to see if everything was fine.

"Hey, what--" he stopped short when he saw the puppy.

"Yeah, we didn't know what to say either." Marvin responded.

He walked over, obviously slightly fascinated.

"Hey, did you guys see this note?" he said, picking up a small folded paper with a little bit of blood on it.

He opened it and we gathered around him. The note read:

I know what this looks like, but it isn't what it seems. This place is haunted and weird things kept happening. I thought my dog ran away and trust me, we looked long and hard for him. A few days before we left I found him in here and I didn't know what to do, so we packed and left as fast as I could. Be aware of the landlord, there was always something about him that never sat right with me. If you see this, please I'm begging you, get out while you still can.

"Baby, what happened?" We heard Sabrina say from the other room.

"Oh right! I forgot about her!" He said blushing and laughing nervously.

"I'm coming baby." he called.

While Ryan went back to help Sab, Marvin and I hugged each other while trying to figure out what to do next. Hearing footsteps running towards us we turned around, still in each other's embrace, and saw Ryan standing in the doorway out of breath.

"Vanessa, the landlord's here."

Making our way to the front door, we see our landlord Larry and Sab talking. Noticing our presence, they both turned to face us. I looked over to Larry and instantly, the note we read before played like a broken record in my head.

"....Be aware of the landlord, there was always something about him that never sat right with me...."

"What do you want Larry? Our rent isn't due for another 2 weeks so I sure as hell know that's not what you're here for." As you can see, I never liked Larry. There was always something about him that never sat right with me either. If my vibe and your vibe don't agree, then I can't be around you, that's just how I am.
