Marvin's POV
When the paramedics arrived I tried to keep myself as calm as I possibly could. I had told Ry and Sabi that I would ride in the ambulance with her, and they were fine with that. The whole ride to the hospital, I never let go of Nessa's hand.
We've only been together for a year but she has my heart and always will. I don't know what I'd do without her. That's why I want her to live with me. Not just to protect her from the unknown (INTO THE UNKNOOOOWWWWWNNNNN....No? Okay), but because I love her and want to be in her presence all the time. She's helped me through some dark stuff. She's the light at the end of my tunnel. I just want to be the light at the end of her tunnel.
We arrived at the hospital 15 minutes later, but it felt like forever. Seeing my baby girl like this was tearing at my heart. She was all I ever wanted in a girl and I would do anything to help her and see that beautiful shy smile. Knowing I was the only one to make her smile like that, made me happy too.
They rushed her into the emergency and I was told to stay in the waiting room. It was killing me not knowing what was happening or what was wrong with her. Ryan and Sabrina arrived shortly after.
"Hey, we tried to drive behind the ambulance and follow it but damn that thing drives fast." Ryan said, trying to lighten the mood.
"That's what happens when you can drive through red lights babe." Sabi said joking around.
I knew they were trying to make me feel better but nothing would calm my nerves until my princess was okay and I could hold her.
"How is she?" Sabi asked.
I looked up at a loss for words, and sensing the fear I was trying to hide, they both tried to console me.
"I need some air and some time to myself." I said, suddenly getting up.
"We will be right here when you get back." Ryan said, with a smile.
"And don't worry, as soon as we hear something we will let you know." Sabi finished.
These two were perfect for one another but more importantly, Sabi was an amazing sister to Vanessa. The two girls always had each other's back and they were both really supportive. Vanessa couldn't keep the secret about Sabi being pregnant, and I was so happy that I was going to be the godfather. This baby was exactly what we all needed.
Sabrina's POV
Vanessa was so lucky to have a guy like Marvin. He loves her more than anything in this world, and you could see it from his actions alone. Vanessa had gotten to a point in her life where she never thought she could be happy, just like me, but I would never imagine leaving her side. She was going to be the godmother to me and Ryan's unborn child. It felt so good to say that.
The whole idea of giving birth always scared me but now it was all I thought about. I was going to make Ryan a father. That was the part that made me the most happiest. He was so supportive and I couldn't ask for a better guy to raise our baby with. **Major fangirl moment**
I was really worried about Vanessa but I had to be strong for Ryan, me and Marvin--Marvin the most. I had a better way of hiding my emotions but I never remembered seeing Marvin that upset or scared before.
"Babe," Ryan said, snapping me back into reality.
"Yes baby," I responded.
"I'm going to go for a walk with Marvin, I know he needs someone right now and I feel like I will be able to talk to him easier."
"That's a great idea sweetheart. I will let you both know as soon as I hear something." I said, coming in for a kiss.
Ryan's POV
"Hey Marvin, wait up!' I said, quickening my steps to walk beside him.
"Look, I know you might not want to talk but I am here to listen."
"Vanessa is just too perfect for me." he said, after a brief moment of silence.
"I met her at my lowest point and she still stuck around. She has been through so much already and she doesn't deserve to be going through this. I don't deserve her man, she's funny and smart and kind-hearted and don't get me started on how beautiful her mind is."
"I know how you feel. Sabi and I have been together for two years and I can't imagine my life without her in it. I'm going to be a father now and honestly I just want to be everything Sabi's father wasn't to her. I made a promise to be by her side and we have been through so much together. I never thought I deserved a girl like her to begin with, but she makes me happier than words could ever express."
My phone started ringing and Sabi's picture appeared on the screen.
"Baby, come quick, they have an update on Nessa!" Sabi said on the other end of the line.
