C H A P T E R 6

Marvin's POV

Today was just exhausting. Walking into Nessa and Sabi's apartment, I went straight to the couch and dropped on it. You could see that both girls were very tired emotionally after all that's happened today. I was about to fall asleep when I heard something about food. I quickly jumped up, sleep evidently gone

"Did someone say food?" I asked, looking at them.

They all burst out laughing. I don't know what's so funny about food. Like I'm hungry!

"Vanessa, he's perfect for you. The both of you are crackheads for food." Ryan said, laughing his ass off and Sabi joining him.

"Hey!!" Nessa and I both said. We turned to each other and shrugged our shoulders. "You're right." We both said again.

After we all calmed down from our laughing fits, I asked again.

"Now who said something about food?"

"Ryan ordered pizza and wings. It should be here in about 20 minutes." Sabi called from the kitchen.

"Okay here's the plan guys, now that both of your parent's know about us, I say we start packing first thing tomorrow." Ryan suggested happily.

"You know I want to move in with you babe, but today has just been a long day and I don't feel like waking up early tomorrow."

"That's fine, then I'll wake up and get a head start."

"Baby, I have to talk to you about something. But I need to do it alone." Sabrina said, looking sad and worried. It was clear that the last part was directed to Vanessa.

Sabrina's POV

I didn't know how he would react but I had to tell him now.

We walked to my room and I made eye contact with Vanessa before I got inside. She smiled at me as if to encourage me to go through with it and tell him.

I just hoped he would be as happy as I thought

"Baby, I'm sorry for everything that happened earlier today. I didn't mean for you or Marvin to see that. Vanessa was used to hearing me talk about it. I told mom about you, after the way I talked to dad, I was pretty sure he was going to kill you, so hopefully we will be able to tell him soon." I said, not knowing how else to start this conversation.

"Babe, don't apologize. I knew things were bad, I remembered you used to talk about it when we started dating, but I didn't know things were that bad. It's not your fault." he said looking into my eyes.

"There's something else too." I said, reaching out for his hand.

"I'm pregnant."

He didn't know how to react and I didn't blame him. Then he did something that I wasn't expecting...he started crying...

Oh my god, I broke my boyfriend I thought.

"Baby, no don't cry! We don't have to go through with this if you're not ready! I knew how badly you want to be a dad but if you're not ready--"

He cut me off short by kissing me.

"Baby, these are happy tears I promise." he said, taking my hand in his.

"I'm going to be a father." he said, as if he was just learning the words.

"Pizza's here!" I heard Marvin call.
