Tanaw ko na si Kuya papalapit sa sasakyan.

Binuksan niya ang pinto sabay kurot sa pisngi ko. "Good morning!"

"Wow, imagine, kahit halos bente kwatro oras mahigit ang flight mo Kuya, yung energy mo nag uumapaw pa rin." Ihinagis ni Kuya ang maleta niya sa likod ng sasakyan.

"Wala, masaya lang ako ngayon."

Huh? Ba't parang iba ata ang mode niya, mala-cloud nine ang dating. "yee, ba't parang in love ka ata"

Tumawa siya ng pagkalakas lakas, tapos hindi na umimik. Tumunog bigla ang phone ni Kuya. Dali-dali niyang dinukot sa bulsa niya. Nang binabasa niya ang phone niya, bigla siyang napangiti. Aba, may love life na nga ang dakilang sawi!

"Oist Kuya, damot mo, share ka naman! Ngayon lang kita nakita ngumiti ng ganyan, anong meron?"

Humarap lang si Kuya at ngumiti, sabay sumandal, nagseatbelt at umidlip na.

Hay, stop over muna kami, gusto ko muna magstretch, pero si Kuya, himbing na himbing padin na natutulog.

Biglang tumunog ang phone ni Kuya. I'm kind of feeling the itch to see who's calling but it would be rude to take the call. Gigising naman siguro si Kuya, mag-iistretch muna ako sa labas at kakain.

"Hey, wait for me!"

Aba, nagising din si Kuya!

"Hi, I'd like a McMuffin and a coffee for dine in please."

"Okay ma'am, would that be all?"

"Ah, add in another coffee" Ngumiti na lang ako kay ate.

Kuya keeps on scrolling on his phone, sabay nakangiti pa siya

"Nakarating na raw siya"

I raise my eyebrows. "Sinong siya?"

"You've met her before, but it's quite a long time ago, her name's Vera, journalism student noon, well full blown journalist na ngayon."

"Oh and you've met in Britain?" I grab my orders, pero kuya gets them for me.

Naglakad kami towards the vacant chair by the window and Kuya suddenly blurts out, "Yeah, what are the odds right?, I was having coffee, then she was sitting right across my table, so we talked, catched up a bit, she was on the way to Dubai for a documentary."

"So that explains it- the sudden at walang kaplano planong pag-uwi. Someone's got a crush on someone. Wait kuya, you said I have met her before, why can I not remember?"

"We'll because there's not so much to remember about her. Ang alam mo lang noon ay may gusto ako sa kanya ang that's it."

"Ah, so now I am hearing a confession and I thought you would die a bachelor"

Ngumisi si Kuya, "Speak for yourself."

Ngumuya muna ako ng McMuffin at humigop naman ng kape is Kuya. "Kuya, is it possible to like someone so much you feel like you've known him for all your life?"

Kumunot ang noo ni Kuya." And why do you say so?"

"Ah, ang isang tanong ay hindi sinasagot ng isang bagong tanong! Anyways, kwento ka pa Kuya, who's this girl anyways, I want to meet her"

"Well, for starters, she's always busy. So that's pretty impossible"

"Ah, so if kayo ang nagkatuluyan, chances are walang tao lagi sa bahay niyo, boo!, no person I could bother.."

"Hey, don't change the topic, what made you have that overly dramatic sentiment?"

"Gah Kuya, for once, humor me about yourself, Ako na lang lagi nagkwekwento."

Ayan, tinungga na ni Kuya yung buong cup ng kape "Okay, here's the deal, you'll meet her, I'll meet him"

Sounds cool to me "Okay Kuya, Deal"
