12th of December, 2016; this was the day wormwood arrived earth. The arrival of this star killed more people than the first trumpet and second trumpet combined. At the sound of the third trumpet a semi eclipse engulfed the city. The sun in its dwindling radiance revealed the entrance of the star and its destination, Calabar. Unknown to us the star carried within itself a colony unknown to humans, the borders of the star had all the colors of the rainbow with some extra colors unknown to man, it stretched from the entrance of the city to the center where the stadium is located in length and spanned from the stadium to the extreme east. Every water body that came in contact with the star became bitter. After the touch down was an outbreak of an epidermic, it spread through water to other states and countries and in a matter of days, the world.

We came to the border to inspect the star and send reports to the president, that's when we encountered the woodens. They came with weapons to guard their border but we thought they came for a fight so we engaged them and lost. They had more stamina and speed with more advanced weapons, they took us captive and tied us up; also seizing my children from me. Although their arrival killed more people than the ten plagues combined and their hospitality stunk like the sewers of mother Russia; they were our saving grace if only we spoke first before fighting.

After our travail over hunger and the language barrier we finally got along with our alien friends. We grew up thinking we were the only species in the cosmos but their existence proved our scholars wrong, their military power exceeded the incessant braggadocio of any nation, their fashion quelled the embroidery skills of earths greatest designers. We have little information about their origin but as our ties grow, maybe we might.
