Two weeks have passed since you told Mali the truth. Never in your life have you felt more relieved, ever, you just wish it was that easy with everyone. Despite getting closer with her from then, you avoided Calum so much only saying a 'hi', 'morning' and 'goodnight'. You only talked if needed, usually about the road or how cold it was here, just that and you don't know why, but you've been more nervous with him as well. The pack has been following the line for two weeks straight, Zaine said you needed to lay low because of the last attack in the tunnels so they'd think you left for good. Right now you were climbing the highest mountain you've ever been on in your life, Zaine told you that in the human world there's an even bigger one called Mount Everest, it was an interesting story. You always enjoyed getting to know interesting facts about the human world and it was always a pleasure to chat about them with him. Now why have you been going so slow? Well, the line has been taking a lot more breaks, for sleep or food, maybe just to warm up and rest. You were glad that the poor people were getting some sort of a break finally. You didn't mind it also, neither did your friends, however at night it was hard to sleep because of the wind. Mali would come over to you and do the thing with her powers making it warmer, but that's as far as it helped. Once you go down this mountain Zaine said there would be ice, lots of ice and it would be easy to slip or fall, most of all impossible to help people. That's why you had to do something before it, that way the guards would think that you were too scared to follow them over the ice.

"Hey look, they're getting up" Sierra informs everyone as she stands up herself. You look over your shoulder, the line was standing up to move, it was maybe noon, the whole morning you've been resting.

"Let's get going then" Calum says eyeing the situation as he starts to walk.

"Don't go too close" Zaine reminds him, Calum nods continuing, everyone following. You got goosebumps from the cold, the wind blowing in your hair, your eyes squinted so you could see better.

"It's so fucking cold" Michael says, hugging himself, that's what you were gonna say.

"When are we going to get to the lower territories?" Luke says, his teeth clattering.

"After the ice" Zaine answers him, adjusting his jacket.

"Oh right, forgot about that" Sarah sighs, her breath was visible in the air. Surprisingly, or not you weren't that good with the cold, you were in Australia, sort of... but none of you have had much experience with snow or anything close to this.

"Look there's the top!" Crystal says, excited.

"Hell yes" Calum whispers, following closely behind Crys.

"Finally" you mutter, honestly you just wanted to get back to the familiar warmth.

"Zaine, should we do it now?" Luke asks, he was talking about the plan you had thought of.

"As soon as they start walking downwards" he instructs.

" We bring them to you, right?" Mali asks for confirmation. He nods as an answer, finally you've reached the top. You looked over at the people beneath you, your breath hitched once you saw the numerous amount guards, you'll have to execute your plan perfectly.

"Okay, get it done kids. I can't lose any of you, not like this" Zaine says, his voice strict but full of worry. "We'll be fine Zaine" Michael reassures him. Zaine nods, Michael transforms, the rest of the pack following quickly.
