Part 42 "End it once and for all"

It was the day, it finally came to it. The final battle. The morning was extremely productive, everyone stretched, trained, but noone wasted that much energy. You made special care of that last one. Sierra stayed in contact with Charlie all along, the other pack members were with him and ready to participate. It was getting closer and closer and you couldn't wrap your mind around it.

"Luke, Michael you ready to get going?" Calum asks and both of them nod with no doubts. Cal sighs, closing his eyes and then smiling a little, as if he's telling himself it'll be alright. Almost like it was contagious everyone did also.

"There isn't much to say except, let's do this" he finishes, turning into a wolf. You and Ash turn into your cat forms everyone else shifting as well, except Luke and Michael. They start running in their human forms to the two power stations. As you watched them your mind had all kinds of thoughts, the plan relies on them, almost fully. What if they don't succeed? But, now wasn't the time for those, as you shake your head  you run to the edge of the forest you were hiding in, impatiently waiting for Sierra to tell you if Mike and Luke did their part. Your heart was beating out of your chest, it felt like hours have passed by when it was only really a couple of minutes. You were anxious, you felt tied down, like you couldn't do a single thing, all you could think of was how are they doing...

"They did it" Sierra says happily, suddenly you hear the guards shout instantly.

"Where's the power?!" at that you see Mark open the gate, this is it, no more nervousness.

"Go go go" Calum orders running straight ahead, howling to indicate the start of the battle.

You passed quickly through the gate as the guards were running around trying to get a sense of what's happening, you had the element of suprise. Your whole body felt on fire, adrenaline having no rest in you whatsoever, this was one of the most important things you'll ever do. There were about twenty of guards following you as you ran to the back of the main house to get to the people.

"Mali your left" you say, noticing the wolf who was about to jump on her. She dodged him, kicking in his face, making him stumble as she ran further with you.

"Ash watch out" Crystal said, jumping over him to push the guard away from him.

"Thank you" he said appreciatively. Everything was happening so quick, you were right there, the people stared at you and their eyes sparkled, they knew it all.

"Come on everyone, follow us" Calum hurried, getting them to rush out.

"Here we go, Ash help me here" you said, starting to run back, he joined you immediately, staying as close as possible. Sarah, Sierra, Crystal, Mali and Calum were all behind you, as people tried to follow you weakly, some guards also chasing after you from behind. You and Ashton tried to clear through a way for everyone to pass, wolves trying to bite you and stop you hopelessly. Crystal and Sarah would come to your sides to smack a wolf who got close to you thankfully. Mali, Calum and Sierra trying to fight off the guards who wanted to interfere with the line.

"There's the gate" Ashton says, barely, managing to as he was out of breath. You got out first, waiting for the rest to escape, panting for breath as your eyes quickly scanned the hundred guards behind them. Holy shit, this is not going to be easy, is it?
