My lungs burned, my feet felt numb while my wrists had been rubbed raw. A small black USB stick broke the surface of the water above my head with a small splash, slowly sinking to the bottom. Above the chlorinated waterline, I could hear muffled and distorted shouts coming from above me. That was when I realised I wasn't making it out of the public pool alive. As the chemical water filled my lungs, I thought of the great detective, Sherlock Holmes and how this would be the first murder he wouldn't need to solve because he was a witness to it all.

My body became limp, every cell screaming for oxygen. As my body subconsciously convulsed from the build-up of Carbon Dioxide in my system, my eyes began to feel heavy, my eyelids slowly drooping shut. I could feel each and every organ in my body shut off before I finally succumbed to the darkness.

I had expected to die. I did die but I came back. Funnily enough, Death gave me a second chance.
