Farzana sat at the table with books on one side,a pen in her hand and a book in front of her.She loathed this part of teaching, marking books. It took away so much energy from her but some place in her enjoyed the funny answers that some of her students wrote down.
"Ma'am."
Farzana looked at Ahmed who sat next to her and she smiled down at him,"Yes Ahmed?"
He held out a roti roll piece, which was not a roti roll but a chicken filling that was wrapped in a Egyptian type of roti, with a straight face he said,"You need to eat ma'am."
Farzana shook her head as she glanced at the book stack she had to mark for her upcoming class,"I'll eat later,I have to complete this marking."
Ahmed shook his head as he got off his chair, still holding the roti roll piece in his hand,"No,you have to eat or else you will get sick.If you get sick, you can't hold your babies and you won't come school, then I'll be alone. So you have to eat.I'll feed you if you won't eat on your own.Make ahhh." Farzana found it hard to keep a straight face so she followed his instructions as she opened his mouth and he put the sharwama piece into her mouth.Thank God,it had been cut into smaller pieces for him to eat so the entire piece fitted into her mouth.
She marked, with a five minute interval when he would hold out the piece for her to eat.By the time the bell rang, lunch time was over and Farzana was full,"Jazakallah so much for feeding me."
Ahmed smiled at her, shaking his head,"No problem ma'am." He paused before moving closer to her, speaking in a hushed tone,"I used to do the same with mummy when she used to work."
Farzana put her pen down, turning to look at the child as she heard the pain in his voice. The poor child missed his mum but put up an almost brave face for the world,it broke Farzana's heart as she wrapped her arms around him and brought him closer to her.
"Thank you for sharing such a beautiful moment that you shared with your mum with me."
As Ahmed pulled away,he looked up at her with shy eyes,"My mum always told me that after her and dad my teachers were the closest people to being my parents. You are a ma'am so that means that you like my mummy, not just me but all of our mummy."
Farzana caressed his cheek and nodded her head,"Of course sweetheart.I don't just have two babies,I have twenty three children."
Ahmed looked up at her with a sly smile,"And I'm your favorite, right?"
Farzana narrowed her eyes playfully with a smile on her lips,"Ahmed."
He giggled as he looked around and his eyes went big as he realized there were only a few more children getting ready to leave,"Oh I need to go.See you just now ma'am."
Farzana smiled as he rushed to get his bag and she waved at him when he waved as he walked out of the class.Farzana smiled in contentment. The child who would not even say a word in her presence now joked around with her.Gosh, she was going to miss this when she went home for the Ramadhan and Eid holidays that were coming up in three weeks, with examinations starting the next day.

"Soon the Ramadhan holidays will begin. We need to start looking into security preparations as well as our mass iftar preparation. There must be no mistakes in anything." Ridwaan instructed his three advisors and they nodded their heads.
"General Irfaan is working on the security plans and we will ensure that no mistakes will be made." Advisor Liyaqat said at which the King nodded his head.
"Ten days before Ramadhan begins we need to have our security arrangements done. The mass iftaars need to be expanded, start looking into the treasury and see how much we need." Ridwaan looked at the other file,"Is this all the reports on the executions that will be taking place?"
