Ahmed walked into his jadati and jadun's lounge where they sat on two couches. His jadun had a book in his lap and his jadati had two long needles which she called knitting needles.

"As salaam mu alaykum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu, jadun wa jadati."

They both looked up from what they were doing, put it aside as they stood up to welcome their grandson.

"Wa alaykum mu salaam,Ahmed.Come hug jadati." Ahmed hugged her before hugging jadun. They went to sit on the big couch with him in the middle, jadati moved his hair back.

"How was school?"

"School was good, alhumdulilah.I had so much fun, jadati."

"Did you finish your homework before coming here?" Jadun asked and Ahmed nodded his head.

"Nam,jadun.I did finish my work then I came." Ahmed went quiet as he looked at jadun then at jadati before looking down at his legs as he thought of what he was about to say,"Jadun, jadati I want to ask something?"

Rayhana and Abdul Rahman exchanged concerned glances before nodding and Abdul Rahman spoke,"Of course, ask ahead."

"I like Miss.Farzana."

Rayhana held his hand in her own,"We know you like her."

Ahmed shook his head as he looked at his jadun and jadati,"I like her a lot.Like I liked mummy.I miss her when I come home.I miss her food. When I am with her I don't want to leave her.She makes me feel safe. When I hug her I feel like mummy is hugging me.When she feeds me I remember how mummy used to feed me.When she takes care of my cuts when I fall and kisses my cheek I feel nice. When she shouts me but makes me understand why I am wrong I feel like mummy is shouting me.When I have to leave her,my heart hurts and I want to cry.I don't do anything because I don't want her to think I am a bad child.I love her a lot."

The grandparents looked at Ahmed immensely confused before Abdul Rahman put a finger under his chin and lifted his head,"Ahmed, she is your teacher. What she does is her duty but you have to understand that it is until your school boundary and not beyond those walls. She can't know who you are."

Ahmed shook his head,"She can jadun, she can.She can become my mummy.I want her to be my mummy."

Rayhana's eyes went wide in shock as Abdul Rahman's mouth fell open at the child's words. The same child who just a couple of months ago had mourned his mother, now wanted a new woman to take her place.Rayhana put a hand on his shoulder,"Ahmed, she can't be your mummy."

Ahmed stood up,moving away from them,"Why not?If you tell daddy to marry her she can become my new mummy. You'll have to tell him,I want her here when I get home,I want her here when I eat, when I sleep and when I play.I want daddy to marry her and you'll can ask him."

Abdul Rahman held out a hand,"Ahmed, your daddy can't marry her."

"Why not?" Ahmed cried out loudly,"She doesn't have a husband,he left her.I asked her already. She can marry daddy now."

Rayhana stood up,going to Ahmed and kneeling down as she put a hand on his shoulder,"She is not an Arab,Ahmed. She has two children. She can't marry your daddy."

"But she is a muslim and daddy also has me.I heard him say the other day that women will only marry him for the crown and not me.But she will marry him for me.Talk to him please."

Rayhana looked at Abdul Rahman who came closer and did the same as her,"I'm sorry,Ahmed but that can't happen. You just have to forget about it."

Ahmed pushed their hands off his shoulders as tears ran down his face,"I hate you'll.I hate you'll.You'll are mean."
