CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Farzana,Ridwaan and Ahmed along with the twins walked into the dinning room.They greeted everyone as they walked to their places.Ridwaan walked to his uncle who stood up,they hugged one another as they greeted one another.

"How are you,am?"

"Shukar alhumdulilah,I am well and yourself?"

"Alhumdulilah,I am well.Ahmed,come."

Ahmed looked up at Abdul Samad,his eyes full of anger before he hid himself behind Farzana's legs,"No." His arms wrapped around her legs,Farzana looked at Ridwaan with a questioning glance and Ridwaan gestured he to talk to Ahmed.

Farzana put her hand on Ahmed's head causing him to look at her,"Ahmed,greet your jadaun please."

"La,mama.I don't like jadun Abdul Samad.He forced me to tell daddy to marry his daughter and told me if I don't he'll send me to a school where I'll stay without daddy.I don't like him."

Ridwaan looked down as he took a deep breath as Ahmed spoke,he had known about this and he understood his son's feelings.He knew that he should not push him but he watched as Farzana kneeled down with Hafsa in her arms and she smiled at him.He knew she would make everything work out just fine.

"Ahmed,you are still here and your daddy didn't listen to you.I'm your mama now so you don't have to worry about anyone else.Just greet your jadun,okay?" She leaned forward,to whisper to him,"I promise you will get to eat ice cream tonight if you greet him."

"Promise."

"Promise."

Ahmed walked towards Abdul Samad and nodded his head in respect,"As salaam mu alaykum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu,jadun Abdul Samad.Ahlun wa sahlan wa marhaban."

When Abdul Samad reached forward to touch his face Ahmed moved towards Farzana who put her hand on his shoulder,"Wa alaykum mu salaam,Ahmed.Kay fa haluk?"

"Alhumdulilah."

"Am,this is my wife Farzana and our daughters,Hafsa and Ayesha." Ridwaan introduced Farzana as he put a hand on her back.Farzana smiled at Abdul Samad who looked at her with calculating eyes.

"As salaam mu alaykum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu,sayida Farzana."

"Wa alaykum mu salaam wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu,sayid Abdul Samad."

"Welcome to the family." He looked at the twins who sat in their arms,"And a warm welcome to your kids as well.I must say their upbringing will be the best since their step family is this one."

Ridwaan's eyes were turning into a glare,Farzana moved her body closer to his just to ensure that he kept his temper down,"I don't doubt it since Ahmed's upbringing was excellent I know that my daughters will have the same upbringing.Please take a seat,the food is about to be served."

The family of five moved to their end of the table,Farzana helped Ahmed sit before turning to the baby chairs,she whispered to Ridwaan,"Ridwaan,keep your temper under control.This is a all bark,no bite situations.I'll be fine."

"I've promised to protect you irrespective of who it is and I plan on keeping my promise." He whispered back and Farzana put her hand over his.

"Just don't loose your temper."

"I'll try." They turned back to the table,taking their seats and the food was served.Farzana dished out for Ahmed followed by dishing out for Ridwaan.She thanked the staff members as she took the bowls of food they gave for the twins.She stood up to take Hafsa out of the baby chair and placed Hfsa on her lap.

"Bismilah." Farzana begun to feed her as she usually did and Ridwaan shook his head as he picked up a morsel.

"Farzana,here." He held out his hand,Farzana's eyes going wide as she realized what he was doing.Yes,he had done it before but then it had only been their close family.She could feel the numerous stares as she looked at him.'
