Jennifer's POV
A soft knock came at my door, I was sat cross legged on my bed, carefully painting each of my nails a deep blue colour. My room was silent other than the occassional burst of song coming from Harry who was currently in the shower. I placed the bottle of nail polish down upon my desk and padded to the door, pulling it open to see Liam stood there. He donned black skinny jeans and a tight grey t-shirt.
"Hey Jennifer, I was wondering if I could talk to you for a moment?" he asked, I nodded and stepped aside, allowing him to enter my neatly organised room, he perched on the edge of my bed, his eyes darting around my room as I walked over to him and took a seat upon my swivel desk chair by my desk.
"What can I do for you?" I asked, picking up the still open bottle of nail polish and continuing to coat my nails in the paint. Liam rubbed his hands on his jeans, biting his lip as he did so.
Heart beats fast,
Colours and promises,
How to be brave,
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall,
Watching you stand alone,
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow,
One step closer,
I have died every day waiting for you
"Is that..."
"Yeah it's Harry, he should be out of the shower in about five minutes" I said to Liam, he nodded and swallowed.
"Look Jennifer, it's Harry, clearly you two are getting along pretty well, and don't get me wwrong that's great, truely it really is," Liam began, his eyes refusing to look in my direction "But there's someething me and the other lads thought you should know before you commit yourself too much to him."
To say I was confused would be an understatement, Harry and I had promised to be completely truthful and honest with oneanother that night in the hotel room. I couldn;'t think of anything else the curly haired boy could've been keeping from me, and to think that he was was scaring me.
"Go on," I prompted, replacing the lid onto the nail polish bottle and setting it aside, blowing softly over my nails in turn, willing the polish to dry quicker.
"Okay, erm, I'm not really sure where to start," Liam nervously laughed "erm, before you arrived Harry had been in a relationship, a serious one at that, she was called-"
"Cassie?" I guessed, Liam's head shot up and he nodded.
"Yeah, how did you know?" Liam asked, surprised.
"Harry's told me everything Liam, trust me he has, about the pregnancy, the suicide, his guilt, I know every aspect of the story" I assured him, smiling gently at the dark haired lad opposite me. Liam stood up abruptly, I mirrored his actions and he pulled me into a tight hug.
"He really told you everything?" Liam aked, his hands on my shoulders, holding me at arms length, his eyes searching mine for any trace of uncertainty.
"Yes, yes he did Liam," I smiled, Liam hugged me once again.
"Thank God, I drew the short straw and the boys made me come and tell you, I really didn't want to be the one to inform you of all that so thank fuck he beat me to it" he lauheed nervously.
The water was shut off in the bathroom signalling the end of Harry's prolonged shower.
"Well I'll be going," Liam said, walking to the door and opening it before stepping out "Oh and Jennifer?" Liam said, turning to face me again.
"Yes Liam?"
"If he really has told you all that then you must be special to him, don't leave him like Cassie did, I don't think he'd survive another heart break like that one, keep tight hold of him, I know he can be tempermental and irritating, even stubborn at times but deep down he's just a lost lad looking for stability." Liam ranted quickly, I smiled and placed my hand on Liam's shoulder.
"I promise you I'll do my best to give him everything he deserves and more, thank you for coming to talk to me Liam" I said, Liam smiled sheepishly at me and walked down the corridor. I closed the door behind him and jumped a little whe I saw Harry leaning against the bathroom door frame a brown towel hung loosely round his hips, his arms crossed over his chest.
"What did Liam want?" Harry asked, walking towards me until he was 30 centimetres away at the most, his tall frame dwarfing my own.
"He came to tell me about Cassie," I said gently, placing my hand upon his cheek, I felt Harry physically tense at the mention of her name so I leant forward, reaching up to press a soft kiss upon his lips. "I told him I already knew everything" I finished, pulling away and searching his eyes with my own. Harry smiled a little, his arms wrapping around me, tugging me forward into his body, his lips pressing to my forehead.
