I quickly rushed back to my plastic chair and seated myself. My instructor silenced the class.

I suddenly felt my hands freeze.

I rubbed my hand on my legs in attempt to warm them. Then they felt warm again.

I picked up my pen and began to click it while staring at the front board.

Then it stopped and wouldn't click anymore. When I looked it was frozen in ice.

I let out a gasp and through my pen on the floor. I pushed my chair out of the way and jumped away. "What the hell?" I whispered with the little breath in me.

I don't know what happened, but nobody can see it. If they did we would have to move.

I ran out the room and grabbed my stuff. School was a bad idea.

I ran out of the building and sat on a bench out front. The sun was shining right overhead.

I stood up to check the time and looked up. I faced north and them looked up to see it wasn't directly overhead, the sun was about 25 degrees left. This meant it was about 10:45 in the morning.

Ember wouldn't be here until 3:45. I have no way to contact her. I wish I possessed telepathy.

I jumped in freight when I heard a guy tell me, "I saw." I bent my eyebrows.

"What did you see?" Please not the pen, please not the pen.
"Your wings."
My eyes widened, "what are you?" I had to ask him because only those of the mythical world could see, the other way is not too common.

"I'm human, but my uncle-in-law was a Brewnde. If you know what that is. Probably not considering they're extinct."

"They're not extinct," I told him. Typical human thinks he's intelligent. He doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. "My friends a Brewnde."

"I bet they're beautiful." I nodded.
"I shouldn't be talking to you." I told him.
"I need to figure out how to fulfill the prophecy. Me and Jamie don't have forever."

I stood up and started walking home.
It was only 20 minutes later that I reached the waterfall, and it wasn't by walking. If I walked then I would've taken hours. And I find it peaceful to fly. Jamie was there sitting on a boulder as he played a beautiful tune with his wooden flute.

"Hey!" I shouted and hoped he could hear me. He looked down right at me. Aren't you supposed to be in school little girl?" I rolled my eyes and ignored the question.

"Did anything weird just happen to you? I mean weird as in freezing a pen into ice."

He shook his head. He flew down and grabbed my hand. We both flew up and he brought me on a boulder right next to the waterfall.

"I love the sound. It soothes me." I told him as a smile stretched across my face.

"Here. Reach out your hand." He trailed his fingertips down my arm and put his hand under mine as I reached out. The water was warm and gentle.

"What about this?" He picked me up and carried me under the waterfall into a tunnel.

The ceiling lit up. A variety of colors spread across the ceiling and shimmered and the jewels reflected in the suns rays.

I gaped at the beauty.

We sat on the damp stone with his hand folded over mine. I stood up and my wings began to stretch out wide.

"Cassy, you can't fly out of here, not that way. It will injure your wings."

"I'm not doing that." They immediately changed and bent the light to make them appear invisible. My back began to sting and ache causing me to drop down to my knees.

The nervous system that spread throughout my wings began to sense with agonizing pain.

I felt as if they were being torn with bare tools.

"Cassy, your wings!" I screeched in pain as he came forward and grabbed me by the waist right before I collapsed.

I blacked out for a few seconds.

" Cassy, your wings! They changed!"

"What do you mean?"
"They're completely white!"
"Are you sure they're not black?" I asked sarcastically.

"The shape is different too. They around round and heart shaped. They go up straight then make a half circle and flare out with a small angled curve. And they are larger."

"Your turn." I smirked. That was painful.

We rested back down on the solid ground and I ignored what just happened.

He kept asking me if I was okay and if it hurt. It really did, but I didn't want him to worry more.

" It's not a big deal anyway," I reassured him.
It is because, I love you."

I thought he would never say it. I giggled and flew out waiting for him to follow. I flew high up then circled down. He raced after me he soared with his wings closed to his body. He spun at he dived at me. I giggled and he laughed.

He pinned me down. "Tag," I laid on my back with my arms by my side on the ground. My chest beat up and down as I caught my breath. He panted as he hovered over me. I was pinned down flat.

He stared into my honey brownish blue eyes.

"So what was that you said?" I smirked with my plump lips. He looked at me for a minute, "I love you, Cassandra Grace."
"Good. Because I love you."

He lowered his left hand down and raised me up by my lower waist.

I was still panting. My heart rate sped up as he moved closer. The butterflies in my stomach flew in circles and dove.

His right hand cupped my face and his thumb rubbed my cheek. I reached my neck up and our lips met one another. The warmth of his body flowed through my face like electrical currents.

I wrapped my arms up his back and grabbed at his shirt.

He pressed against my chest and sunk his lips deeper onto mine."
