Smash Bros: Revolving Shadows

Chapter 2:

Bowser laughs, as he nails Luigi with his black gun. He had engaged the brothers earlier, near the abandoned zoo, after freezing Princess Peach and Daisy, and he was relishing defeating them.

Mario, on the other hand, chucks fireballs at the Koopa, now angry. Bowser roars a ton more fire back at him, and Mario is cornered against the stone wall.

Bowser snickers, thinking about how he's the only capable villain in the land, even with the three new bad guys.

He starts laughing out loud again, until suddenly he begins to choke on a Metal Blade.

Mega Man leaps over his head, and quickly gets Mario out of the fire's way. Bowser rips the Metal Blade out of his jaw, and roars, ready for a fight.

Unluckily for him, Mario and Mega Man are ready as well and the fight is on.

Mario hops on Bowser's head and nails him with fireballs, while Mega Man fires Metal Blade repeatedly.

Bowser goes flying and snarls, pressing something on his arm, hoping for backup. He stumbles back up, hops on his bike, and drives off, leaving the two behind. However, he drops a small closed machine in his haste.

Mario picks up the machine and opens it, as it flickers to life. It reveals a location of some key.

Mega Man and the plumber look at each other and nod, rushing off.

The entire forest is turning to stone and as Corrin paces through it, she wants to find out why.

Sadly, the only thing she knows is that the person who did this is still around and they're probably coming after her next. The ground roughly rips up her feet, since Corrin chooses to not wear shoes, and unluckily for her, that is her exact downfall.

One pesky stone suddenly appears out of the ground and she trips right over it, going down hard and crying out. Corrin looks down to see her feet scarred and gashed, and she grits her teeth, staggering back up.

That's when the sound of beating wings echoes through the empty sky, and she looks up to see a huge dragon circling around the forest like a vulture over a corpse. Corrin braces her sword and prepares for a fight.

Sephiroth leaps from the wyvern and strikes at her like a viper. Corrin leaps back and the fight is on. She knows she can hold her own against this man, and he knows it as well.

Unluckily for her, that pesky rock causes her to trip again, and she falls backward, landing on the ground. Sephiroth slashes at her, and she parries, but the second strike knocks her divine blade away.

He scoffs, raising his sword, until something else slams him away. Another swordsman has entered the ring, clearly here to help Corrin.

Cloud Strife hands the half-dragon her blade, which she accepts calmly, and the two warriors brace for battle.

Sephiroth wipes blood off his face, sees cloud, and a maniacal smirk spreads across his face the moment he sees Cloud.

When the fight begins again, it is much rougher as both sides are out for death.

Rathalos circles above the battle, waiting for orders from his master.

He is so large, in fact, he attracts the attention of two brothers rushing through the stone forest. Pikachu and Pichu look up and their ears pick up the bloody skirmish happening below.

Pikachu's cheeks spark, and it gets ready for battle. Pichu does as well, but Pikachu stops it, and gestures to a nearby bush.

He wants Pichu to stay safe, and the little mouse sullenly trots off.
