Chapter 12: Weiss needs a break..

Ruby's pov:

I was sat in team JNPR's dorm and I must have looked worried because Pyrrah put her arm around me.
"What's up Ruby? You look troubled. You can speak to us" She said as she pulled me into a hug.
"I-It's just Weiss... She's always studying and she needs a break from it.. but the thing is, she refuses to take a break. She said she doesn't have time for fun.. I'm worried about her. I know she wants to do well but she's so hard on herself lately.." I said as I hugged Pyrrah back.
"I will drag her out of that room if I have to!" Jaune said as he laughed.
"I wouldn't mind her not coming but she'll probably be asleep by the time I go back.. she's always sleeping or studying.." I said as I put my head on Pyrrah's shoulder.
"That's it I'm going to drag her out of that room if I have to. You've been dating for a week and she spends her time studying" Jaune said as he stood up.
"Jaune please..it's fine. I promise. I'll talk to her tomorrow." I said
"No.. I'll go talk to her now for you Ruby." Pyrrah said
"Thank you Pyrrah. I owe you!" I said. She got up and left to talk to Weiss. I sat and spoke with Jaune, Nora and Lie for a bit then the door opened. I turned around and saw Pyrrah and Weiss!
I got up and hugged Weiss.
"So the ice queen stops studying for a bit" I said
"Only because I was begged. I'm not staying long though." Weiss said. I then hugged Pyrrah.
"Thank you so much Pyrrah!" I said. We all sat down and decided to play some games. I was sat on Weiss's knee and everyone else was sat cross legged on the floor in a circle. We started off with 'truth or dare?'
"I'll go first!" Nora said. We all nodded in agreement.
"Weiss, truth or dare?" Nora asked
"Truth" Weiss replied.
"Why are you always studying?" Nora asked
"Well I guess i just want to do as well as I possibly can at this school." Weiss said as she smiled.
"Okay. Fair enough then" Nora said.
Weiss put her arms around my waist making me jump slightly.
"Weiss! Not here not now please" I whispered in an annoyed kind of tone. Weiss just laughed. I can hate her sometimes but I still love her.
"Anywayyy.. my turn" Weiss said.
"Truth or dare Ruby?" Weiss asked
"Hmm.. truth" I said. Weiss thought for a moment then looked up at me.
"You don't only want me because of my name do you..?" She asked as she gave me those sad eyes.
"Wha-No no no. Weiss it's not like that at all. I promise!" I said as I wrapped my arms around her neck. Weiss smiled.

About an hour had passed and Weiss decided to go back to our dorm because she was getting tired.  Nora and Lie were having their own conversation so me, Jaune and Pyrrah were sat talking about school and things like that.
"What's up Ruby?" Is Pyrrah said.
"Hello? Earth to Ruby Rose" she added as she waved her hand in front of my face.
"Yeah..sorry guys. I was thinking" I said as I looked up at them.
"About?" Jaune asked
"Weiss.. I need to talk to her tomorrow" I said
"Anything you want to talk about? We're here for you Ruby" Pyrrah said. I shook my head.
"I'm fine Pyrrah but I should get going  actually. It's getting a little late and I need to talk to Weiss if she isn't asleep." I said. Jaune and Pyrrah nodded.
"I'll see you tomorrow before class though" I said as I got up. I thanked them all and said goodbye then left. I went into my dorm and Weiss was studying again.. I went in the bathroom and hopped in the shower for a bit. About 30 minutes had passed and I decided to get out. I walked out of the bathroom and Weiss was now asleep. I climbed up to my bed and that's when Yang and Blake came in. Blake sat down on her bed and Yang put her hand on my shoulder.
"You and Weiss have a disagreement?" She asked. I shook my head.
"No.. it's just Weiss is working so hard studying lately and she said she doesn't have time for fun.." I said as I looked up at my older sister.
"Just giver her some time to study then you'll have her full attention" Yang said as she sat with me.
I hugged her tightly
"Thank you. I love you Yang" I said as she hugged me back.
"I love you too Ruby. I'm always here for you" Yang said. I nodded and let out a sigh.
"Now I think you need some rest Ruby" Yang added as she got down from my bed. I knew I couldn't go to sleep by myself but I didn't want to say that. I just laid down and played on my scroll for a bit. I waited for Blake and Yang to go to sleep then I sat up. I really can't sleep.. thank god class wasn't on the next day. I got out of bed and just wakes around the dorm for a bit. I let out a sigh as I checked the time.
1:38am
Already? Wow. Weiss will be up innn... 6 and a half hours.. great. I got back in bed and laid there still for a while. I was nearly asleep when I heard Weiss get up.
"Weiss?" I asked as I sat up
"What's are you not asleep Ruby Rose?" Weiss asked sounding annoyed.
"I-I couldn't sleep.. t-that's all.. I was nearly asleep but then you got up.." I said as I played with my hair.
"Come here Ruby" Weiss said and with that I got down from my bed and sat next to her.
"You know that if you can't sleep you wake me up" she added as she put her arm around me. I smiled slightly.
"This happens every time you try yo sleep in your own bed Ruby.." Weiss said.
"I know.. anyway.. what made you wake up?" I asked
"I had a gut feeling that you were still awake" Weiss said as she laid down. I laid next to her and cuddled her. She smiled and wrapped her arms around me.
"I've only got like an hour of studying then you'll have my full attention tonight. I promise" Weiss said with a smile. I smiled back and kissed her forehead.
I couldn't stop thinking about what she did earlier then she put her arms around my waist like that. She hasn't done that before so it was honestly a surprise to me. We both fell asleep in each other's arms that night. It was relaxing and I'm glad what Yang said was true about letting Weiss study then I can have her full attention. I really love this girl. She's my world.
