Chapter 13: that day

Weiss's pov:

I woke up cuddling next to Ruby who was still asleep. I looked around and the others were asleep aswell. I went to move my arm so I could get up but Ruby held my hand.
"D-don't leave Weiss.." Ruby whispered. I smiled.
"I'm only going to get changed Red" I said
"No.. stay here please" Ruby said as she held my hand tighter.
"Okay Ruby. I'll stay here" I said as Ruby loosened her grip on my hand. She turned so she was facing me then she gave a very tired smile. I kissed her forehead and smiled back at her.
"You tired little red?" I asked as she nodded.
"Promise you'll still stay here if I fall asleep Ice queen?" Ruby asked
"Yeah. I promise I'll still stay here if you fall asleep"
I said as she cuddled closer to me. It was silent then her breathing pattern had changed. She was asleep again. I don't blame her.. she hasn't been sleeping much lately. I really wanted to get a shower and get changed but I promised Ruby that I'd stay here with her till she woke up. I ran my fingers through her hair and smiled to myself. I wish this girl knew how much I love her! About half an hour had passed and Yang got out of her bed. She didn't notice I was awake so she went to get changed. She walked out of the bathroom just as Blake woke up. Ruby was the only one asleep but it was alright because we didn't have class. Ruby wrapped her arms around me tighter still asleep. That made me smile.
"You coming to get breakfast Weiss?" Yang asked
"No. Me and Ruby will catch up when she gets up. She made me promise that I'd stay with her until she wakes up" I replied as I looked at Yang then back at Ruby. Blake got changed and they both went to get breakfast with team JNPR. I laid back down next to Ruby and kissed her forehead. She then opened her eyes again slightly.
"Weiss.. you really stayed.?" Ruby said as she gave a tired smile.
"Well of course I stayed with you, you dolt. I made a promise and I don't go back on a promise." I said as I playfully rolled my eyes.
"But you did break a promise" Ruby said
"I did? When?" I asked annoyed at myself.
"You promised we would stay friends but now we're not friends" Ruby said trying to be smart.
"Whatever Red. Be grateful that we're not friends" I replied as I playfully hit her. We laid silent for a bit. Then Ruby spoke.
"What do you want to do today Weissy?~" Ruby asked. I blushed at the new name.
"I still have some studying to be done but that can wait until later. Apart from that, I don't have anything planned at all" I said as I tried to sit up but Ruby grabbed my waist (she's still half asleep so she doesn't realise she grabbed her waist) to stop me from getting out of bed. I jumped slightly and became tense. It took me a few minutes to calm down. When I did, I looked at her and let out a sigh.
"I need to get changed at some point today Ruby"
"I know that Weissyyyy~ just not yet though. I was comfortable then you moved" Ruby said
"Well I promised Yang and Blake that we would meet them for breakfast when you got up. And now you're up so we need to get ready and go." I said. She let go of me allowing me to get up. I got up and went to get changed. I rushed to the bathroom and tried my very best not to break down in tears while Ruby was there. I got changed and sat on the bathroom floor for a moment. Ruby knocked on the door after about 5 minutes.
"Weiss.. you alright?" I didn't answer her. I just stood up.
"Weiss? Please say something.. I'm worried" Ruby said again. I looked in the bathroom mirror and brushed my dress off. Ruby tried to open the door but it was locked.
"Weiss please say something if you're alright! I'm really really worried Weiss..."
"I-I'm fine Ruby. Just g-give me a-a minuet" I replied. Ruby was then silent. I prepared myself for a moment then unlocked the door. Ruby bursted in and hugged me tightly. I hugged back
"I was worried Weiss.. like really worried! I thought something happened to you!" Ruby said sounding irritated. She then did the one thing I never thought she would do... Ruby hit me and yelled at me
"DONT EVER IGNORE ME AGAIN! JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE A SCHNEE DOESNT MEAN THAT YOU ARE BETTER THEN ANYONE ELSE HERE!" I started to tear up and I ran off trying my best not to cry... I ran into the library to find Pyrrah..
"P-Pyrrah.. what are you doing here?" I asked as I wiped my eyes. Pyrrah looked at me
"I could ask you the same thing Ms Schne-" I interrupted her
"Don't call me a Schnee.. please" I said as I sat next to her. She frowned and nodded.
"What's wrong Weiss.. you can speak to me about it.. I'm here for you" Pyrrah said as she pulled me in for a hug. I hugged her back and started to cry. Pyrrah rubbed my back still hugging me. She was trying her best to calm me down and it was slowly working. I pulled away from the hug and wiped my eyes.
"It's... it's a long story Pyrrah.." I said through my tears.
"But I'll put it short.." I added. Pyrrah looked at me confused.
"I-It's Ruby..." I muttered just loud enough for her to hear..
