Chapter 16: so we meet again..

This is a few months later by the way. Weiss's father and Ozpin had a meeting about Weiss joining back because she wasn't doing as good in her other school so she decided to walk around the town for a bit when someone familiar catches her eye..

Ruby pov:

It was a Saturday so I decided to walk around the town for a little while because Blake and Yang just started dating so they wanted to hang out together for the day. I had to act like it didn't upset me but it did.. all I could think about was me and Weiss.. but I know I shouldn't have been thinking about that.. Weiss was gone.. I knew I would never see her again. I had just came out of the cafe and I was just walking around by myself for a bit when I thought I heard someone say my name. I chose to ignore it since it was probably just my imagination again. Then I heard it again but louder.
"Ruby Rose" the voice said. A shiver ran down my spine as a recognised the voice. I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around.
"Miss Schnee. Nice to see you I guess" I said as I looked her up and down.
"No need for that. It's Weiss" She said
"Cut to the chase Schnee.. what are you doing here?" I asked as I leaned on the wall.
"My father has a meeting with Ozpin. My father wants me to join Beacon again because I'm not doing as well at the other school" Weiss said.
"You know Ruby.. I really missed you.. it hasn't been the same without you.. weather that's friend or girlfriend.. it's like we're strangers now Ruby.. I really don't like it.." Weiss added as she walked closer to me.
"Weiss.. you said you wanted one more chance and I gave you that one chance. If you join beacon again, friends..maybe.. but I'm honestly not ready for any relationships after what happened before you left.. also, you'll probably be on my team again.. still a member short I also don't have a partner so yeah"
I said as I nervously stepped back so I was right up against the wall.
"Ruby.. I know you said that but.. if we become close again, I would really really appreciate if I could have.. maybe.. another chance?" Weiss said as she cupped my cheek with her hand. What the hell was this girl doing? I gently pushed her back and started walking away. I stopped.
"We'll see about that one princess" I said still facing away from her. I then continued to walk away when she grabbed my arm.
"Where are you going?" She asked
"Back to my dorm since Blake and Yang are out" I replied.
"Well I want to come" Weiss whined
"Well you don't get everything you want in life now do you Princess" I said as I snatched my arm back from her and continued to walk away leaving her speechless. She had really changed me. I wasn't the young childish girl that Weiss left. Weiss has changed me a lot. I've been training more, been way more focused on class and I've been taking battle way too seriously according to Yang. I walked back to the dorm in silence and when I got there, I sat on the floor and studied for a while. Then Yang and Blake walked in. Yang frowned when she saw me studying again
"Ruby.. you must have gone over everything at least 3 times. Please take a break.." Yang said as she took the book from me.
"Yang please I'm not in the mood today.." I snapped at her. Yang look confused.
"Long story short, I ended up seeing Weiss again and she said she might be coming back to Beacon.. she then basically tried to guilt trip me into going out with her again so I'm really not in the mood. Can I have the book back now?" I asked as I looked at Yang. She stayed silent but passed me the book back.
"I'm sorry to hear that Ruby.. I know she's the one person you didn't want to see for a while.." Blake said as she walked up to me and hugged me. Yang smiles at the sight of her sister and girlfriend getting along so well.
"Thanks Blake.. it's not the fact that I saw her.. it's the fact that she tried to guild trip me into dating her again.." I said as I hugged her back, tears forming in my eyes.
"I know Ruby.. but if she starts going here again, she's more then likely going to be on our team again.." Blake said

Weiss's pov:

After the little run in with Ruby, I went back to Ozpin's office. When I entered, I was greeted by Ozpin and my father. They explained that they have decided that I should continue attending Beacon since Ozpin has noticed a sever change in Ruby's attitude since I left. Also, I wasn't doing as well I'm my new school. I didn't know how to feel. Ozpin also informed me that I will be in the same team as last time and I will still be partners with Ruby. After that, me and my father left to go back as I needed to get everything. I was expected to be back at beacon that night so I had to be quick packing everything I needed. I don't know how the others would react but all I know is Ruby has changed.. a lot, and I saw that myself in the town but I didn't want to say anything about it just in case it upset her or anything like that. I was about to finish packing my things when my brother came in my room.
"Out!" I snapped as soon as I saw him.
"Am I not allowed to say goodbye and wish you a safe trip?" He asked
"No. Now get out" I said pushing him out of my room and slamming the door shut. I then continued to pack my things.
