Rebecca was sitting behind the desk at the black and brave academy watching Colby lead class in the ring.
She admired him as he taught, it always amazed her how great he actually was at this business.
He loved teaching the students, he loved growing the business and teaching them the right way to do things.
She knew with Colby as their teacher these kids were going to be ahead of the game when it came time to actually go out of the school and into their individual careers.
"Alright" Colby said "I need a example" he said and Rebecca saw her precious daughter who sat on the ground playing with her toys look at the students who were none to eager to sacrifice themselves
"I'll do it!" Remi raised her little hand and Colby looked over at Rebecca who just shook her head and glared at him
"Rebecca.. thanks for volunteering" Colby said and she looked at him with wide eyes
"She didn't have her hand raised!" Remi complained as Rebecca stood up and walked to the ring
"I haven't had a training session in years Lopez" she said as she climbed in the ring
"Humor me" he said grabbing her arm and pulling her into a side headlock
Once class was over, the students were slowly starting to leave and Remi was being entertained by her father who was placing her on the top turnbuckle and she was jumping fearlessly into his arms.
After the little girl was worn down, Colby climbed out of the ring and walked over to the desk where Rebecca was going over applications and filing them away.
"You're lucky I love you" she said as he walked up "Let you beat me up.. and I still file your paperwork"
"I love you" he sang as he bent down and kissed her "You're a great secretary"
"Do you always sleep with your secretary?" she asked
"I mean can you blame me? She's kinda hot" he said and she rolled her eyes
They heard a thud and then a cry and they jumped up immediately when they saw their daughter slowly sitting up on the ground and then she screamed
"Remi!" Colby said as he walked over quickly
"What did you do?" Rebecca asked as she got closer and her daughter was still screaming and she saw blood dripping and she immediately scooped the little girl up into her arms as she sat down on the ground
"It tripped me!" Remi yelled and went to wipe her tears away but just smeared blood all over her face and she screamed again when she saw her bloodstained hand
"Where is it coming from?" Colby asked in a panic
"Go get a towel" Rebecca said ignoring his panic filled questions
"But that's so much blood"
"Colby" she glared at him
"Is it a lot?" Remi asked
"No" Rebecca shook her head "You're just really worked up so it seems like it" she said pushing the hair out of her daughter's face and Colby came back with a wet cloth and a dry one
"Mommy.. there's holes" Remi said as Rebecca cleaned her face
"What are you talking about?" Rebecca asked
"Does she need stitches?" Colby asked
"No! No needles!" the little girl shook her head as tears began to form again
"No needles" Rebecca shook her head
"There's holes" Remi said again "Why are there holes? Am I gonna die?" she asked frantically and then Rebecca saw it, three tiny top baby teeth were missing
"You lost your teeth" Rebecca said
"I'm not gonna ever be able to eat again!" Remi yelled and Rebecca laughed
"It's normal to lose teeth love" Rebecca said "That's what happens as you get bigger" she said "Bite" she said placing the wet cloth in her daughter's mouth
"Why didn't you tell me?" Remi muffled
"Because none of your teeth were loose yet"
"They get loose?!" she pulled the cloth away from her mouth
"Found them.." Colby said as he walked over and sure enough there in his hand were three tiny teeth
"What happened?" Rebecca asked as she sat Remi on the apron of the ring
"I was getting out and this stupid thing tripped me" she hit the bottom rope with her hand "and I hit my face here" she patted the apron
"Oh.." Colby said "Are you okay? How many fingers am I holding up?" he asked
"I'm fine" the little girl said brushing him off
"I've chipped a few teeth in the ring before but I've never lost one completely" Colby said
"Look at you kid, your first wrestling injury and you're not scared away from it" Rebecca smiled
"That scares me" Colby said "I mean if you're not freaking out over that and you want to get back in the ring, how strong willed are you?"
"I've always told you she was headstrong" Rebecca said
"Yeah, I wonder who she gets that from" he glared at her
"Why are you glaring at me?"
"Because this.." he pointed to Remi "Is a mini you and that terrifies me"
