Rebecca sat in the ring at Black & Brave a few days after getting back from Ireland, she was leading the students in character development and promo class. She took this job very seriously and she wanted each student to discover who they truly were as a character before they left the school. If they knew that and they had the wrestling skills, they would have a better chance at a career than most.
Josh walked over to Colby who was sitting behind the desk, looking at the incoming applications for the next year's class.
"What's up with you?" Josh questioned as he sat next to his friend
"What do you mean?" Colby asked confused
"You keep staring at her"
"She's my fiancée, I always admire her"
"Yes, but you are watching her like a hawk.. like you're afraid she's going to fall out of the ring"
"That's always a worry" Colby nodded
"Oh my god" Josh said and his friend looked over at him "She's pregnant" he said
"SHH!" He shushed him "not a lot of people know yet"
"How long have you known?"
"A few weeks" he said with a nod
"Is this a planned thing or.."
"We stopped trying after the first test we took came back negative back in April, and just let it go and to see what would happen if we just didn't try to try"
"That's usually how it happens" Josh nodded "and you've got that look"
"What look?"
"That deer in headlights look, you look like you're either about to pass out or throw up but you can't decide which one yet"
"I just found out I'm going to be a father again, and I wasn't around for the first pregnancy so I don't know what I'm getting into.. how else am I supposed to look? I mean theres a tiny human inside of her right now that is going to depend on us"
"What did you think being a father was before?" Josh laughed and Colby glared at him "You're going to be fine, I see how you are with Remi, and how you are with the school kids that come in here.. plus if you treat that kid even half the way you treat Rebecca and Remi, You'll be fine"
After his conversation with Josh, class was over and the students were quickly leaving the academy. Colby walked up to the ring where Rebecca was laying in the middle staring up at the ceiling.
"What are you doing?" he laughed as he rolled into the ring and laid next to her
"Thinking" she said quietly
"Care to share?"
"I think I've got to put my career on hold for a little bit.." she said and he looked over at her "I need to focus on this right now" she placed her hand on her abdomen "I don't need to stress myself out over a million and one interviews and projects, I think I'm just going to focus on leading my class and prepping for the baby and trying to be the best mom to Remi" she said with a nod
"You're not getting an argument out of me" he shook his head "The less stressed you are, the better I'll feel" he said and she nodded
"You two do know that if you're trying to see clouds it helps if you're not indoors.." they heard Josh's voice and Rebecca flipped him off
"Go home Josh!" Colby called out and he heard the man laugh as he walked out of the door
"I think its another girl" she said and his head snapped over to look at her and she nodded
"How much longer until we find out?"
"Next week" she said
"Can we be married when that happens?" he asked and now it was her turn to look at him like he was insane as she sat up
"I'm in the middle of planning a wedding" she said
"Yeah" he nodded "and you're stressed out over it, think about it we could just do it and its over"
"Do you want your mom to kill me? better yet do you want my mom to kill you?"
"I don't care" he shook his head "I want to be married to you and I don't want to wait any longer"
"You're serious?" she asked and he nodded
"The court house is still open downtown"
"What about Remi?" she asked "She's with your mom"
"Perfect time!" he said with a shrug "Just us"
"Oh my god" she place her head in her hands and looked over at him "Okay"
