Rebecca was in the middle of making lunch for Remi when she felt a sharp jab of pain and it caused her to drop the knife she was holding on the counter as she grabbed the counter to hold herself up
"Mommy" Remi said as she looked at her mother from across the counter and she saw her mother close her eyes and slowly take a deep breath
"I'm okay" Rebecca said as her daughter jumped down from the chair and walked over to her
"You sure?" Remi questioned concerned
"I'm fine" Rebecca nodded as she ran her hand through her daughter's hair and resumed making her meal
Remi stayed close to her mother for the rest of the day.
Forget helicopter parent, Remi was helicopter daughter.
She noticed her mother wince in pain a few times throughout the day but Rebecca tried her hardest no to let her daughter see her in pain.
Rebecca put Remi to bed in her room with a movie playing later that night and walked into her room, she was on her way to get a shower when the pain happened again and she had to grip the dresser beside her to steady herself once again.
"Ah.." she shook her head and the pain came back again stronger "Oh my god" she said out of breath
Remi was only 15 minutes into her movie when she heard a loud thump coming from her parents room and she got out of bed quickly and ran across the hall to the master bedroom
"Mommy!" Remi screamed as she saw Rebecca laying on the floor "Mommy wake up!" she yelled as she shook her mother and she saw red on the carpet "Mommy!" she said again as tears filled her little eyes and she looked around and found her mother's phone on the nightstand and she did the only thing her little brain could think of
"911 what's your emergency?" the dispatcher answered on the second ring
"My mommy" Remi said "She's on the ground and she won't wake up"
"Okay sweetheart is your mommy breathing? put your hand in front of her face and tell me if you can feel anything" the dispatcher instructed and Remi put her little hand in front of her mother's face
"It's not coming out like its supposed to its slow" the little girl informed
"Alright sweetie, what's your name?"
"Remi"
"Okay Remi you're doing the right thing.. I'm gonna send some people to help your mommy.. do you know your address?"
"I haven't learned it yet" Remi said in tears and she tried shaking her mother again "Mommy" the little girl cried
"It's okay sweetheart, I've sent people to you.. I can find out where you are as long as you stay on the phone with me" she said "There's gonna be an ambulance and two people there in about three minutes"
Three minutes later, Remi could hear the sirens and she continued to shake her mother trying to get her to wake up.
"Alright Remi the paramedics are in your driveway can you go let them in?"
"I'll be back Mommy" the little girl said as she stood up
Remi ran down the stairs and let the two paramedics in the house and hung up the phone with the dispatcher. The paramedics walked quickly up the stairs and began to tend to Rebecca
"She's gonna have a baby" Remi said
"Do you know how much longer until she has the baby?" a paramedic asked
"She's 23 weeks if thats what you mean" Remi informed and they placed Rebecca on the backboard to carry her down the stairs before placing her on the stretcher
"Is there anybody you can stay with sweetheart?" the female paramedic asked as she bent down to be eye level with Remi and the little girl shook her head
"My mimi is on vacation in California"
"What about anybody else, is there anybody else?"
"My Nan lives in Ireland" she informed "and my daddy is working in Saudi Arabia"
"Her dad's Seth Rollins" the male paramedic stated
"How do you know that?" the female asked
"Because I know who this is" he looked down at Rebecca "this is Becky Lynch"
"That's my mommy, Rebecca.. she's only Becky when she's at work" Remi corrected
"Alright sweetheart, Come on.. Let's get you some shoes and a jacket on and you're coming with us" the paramedic said
"but my daddy" Remi said reaching for her shoes as she walked out of the house and got in the ambulance
"We'll get in touch with him"
