Kaia's Arrival

My name is Kaia, I'm sixteen years old and nearly turning seventeen. I have ice blue eyes and dark brown hair. I have plump pink lips and a pretty small face. I am just about to leave to go to college, a special college. In my kingdom everybody is a supernatural creature. The Kingdom of Availia. I am a Phoenix. I can cast some spells and turn into my Phoenix form. Everyone can cast spells though. In Availia there are Vampires, Witches, Mermaids, Fairy's and more. It is nice living in a world we're where everyone is unique. But I am yet to discover more about myself, and my abilities.
"Kaia!"
"It's time to leave honey!"
That's my mother, she is caring and kind. She also looks just like me and has ice blue eyes, her name is Celeste. I soon pick myself up and walk down the stairs. I smile at my mother.
"Hey mum, I'm ready to go now"
My mother walks over to me and has a proud look on her face. She places her hands on my shoulders.
"I am proud of you and it's hard to let you go."
"Mum don't go all sobby on me."
I chuckle.
" I know, I just want you to have a good time."
Later on...
I smile when I see the College within walking distance. Me and my mother are soon outside the gate. We both step out, she gives me a tight hug.
" I know you'll do great, I love you honey"
"I love you too mum"
We share our last words and I enter the college. My mother jumped back into her Sedan and drove out of the main courtyard.
I entered the first room and it took me by surprise. It was decorated with gold and silver painting. The carpet was white and thin. I walked over to the reception stand.
There was a lady sat there with a red curly bob.
"Excuse me miss"
I grabbed her attention, she dragged her self over to the stand on her spinny chair.
"Hello dear, are you a new student"
"Yes, I am"
"Okay then"
She grabbed a form on a clipboard and handed it to me.
"Fill out this form dear, please"
It had name and age requirements and what creature I was. I'm guessing this is their way of knowing more about me. I filled it out and dragged my suitcase over to the reception desk too. I handed it over.
"Thank you dear, let me see"
"Oh wow, your a Phoenix?"
"Yes miss, it runs in the family"
"Okay your room is B12 on the B complex"
"Okay, thank you.
She handed over some leaflets and a map. I leave the reception and step into the wide, open hallway. It was filled with other students. Some trying to find their room and others socialising. I was excited to find my room.
I walked down the hallway with pictures of famous people on the wall.
THUD!
I find myself on the floor, a boy is also on the floor next to me. We must have tripped. EMBARRASSING!
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry"
I look up and the boy is holding out his hand for me.
