Seeking Myths

Soon after I found out I was in Team Platinum, we went to our team meetings. I was a bit hesitant because the people in here must be really good and talented. I opened the door and looked inside and there were twelve people. This was weird considering this school had about eighty pupils per year. This must be a hard Team to get into.
"Welcome."
Stood on a podium in the room were my three team leaders. Two men and a woman. The man who talked to me had light hair and hazel eyes. He gave of a warming look.
"Hello, I'm surprised there isn't a lot of people in here."
He gave me a puzzled look.
"It's very hard to get into this team child, this is the elites!"
" I never knew I had much potential..."
"What's your name?"
"Kaia..Kaia Silverstorm"
He gasped.
"Well oh my, your very special Kaia"
I don't understand, how did everyone know me. This was confusing.
"My name is Aeral Ottoway."
The woman next to Aeral shoved past him and chuckled. I thought they were good friends.
"My name is Tia Byran."
She had cherry red hair and brown eyes, she had dark skin too.
"Nice to meet you miss."
Aeral whispered to the woman and she looked surprised.
"Oh wow, your the girl in the myth!"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm sorry if I am confusing you dear, if you are a bit confused you could go to the library. You could read for yourself."
"Now?"
"In a couple minutes, make some new friends first!"
I nodded and smiled. I turned around and saw this girl sat on her own. Looking down and sad.
I walked over to her in a calm manner so I didn't frighten her.
"Hey,are you okay?"
"Oh..oh..yeah I'm fine."
"You can talk to me, I'm surprised too. I never knew I had potential to be in here."
She looked up from the floor into my eyes. They were red, they had sadness and lots of other emotions. She had her hair in a messy bun and it was a dark black.
"Yeah,I know. I just don't have many friends in here. All the people in here seem really talented."
She looked like a vampire. I was quite sure of it.
"I'm sure you will make friends. I could be your friend?"
Her face lit up and she smiled.
"Yeah, I would like that."
Soon after, we went to the library to try expand our knowledge about this myth. I learned that her name is Aila and she confirmed to me that she was a vampire. I told her about Miss Bryan telling me that I was in a myth. She was just as surprised as I was. Now she seemed happier, I think she was more comfortable with less people around. We arrived at the library after we walked down the airy halls. This place kept on surprising me. It had the same feeling as the reception. It was gold and silver and had a deep red carpet. We chatted and found the book we where looking for. The title was "Myth Of World Z". We assumed that it was the one Miss Bryan was talking about. I showed Aila the book and I placed it on the table. The contents was confusing. It was like a bible. We skimmed through the pages and found a page with the title "Heir's to the God Throne". We looked at each other and smirked. We read the page and it was so confusing. It said something about regular students being heir to the God throne in World Z.
"What the hell is World Z?"
I laughed.
"No idea Aila, it sounds weird. This book doesn't sound true."
We continued reading and found a list of names. Apparently they were gods and the throne gets passed down. There were eight different thrones: Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Electricity, Light, Dark and Peace. Names were under the elements and when they had the throne to their element. There were weird and unfamiliar names. This version looked like the last Gods were chosen fourteen years ago.
"This is just weird Aila."
She nodded. We looked more at the page. It read "A new god will be chosen every fourteen years. These youths will be monitored and when they are sixteen years old they will be chosen. The chosen god will look after their element." Aila's face lit up.
"That's so cool,I want to be chosen!"
I laughed. It was really cool.
After we learned more about the myth I got confused.
"Aila, how come Miss Byran said I was in the myth. I wasn't in it?"
"Oh yeah, I have no idea. I'm just tired now."
We both went back to our rooms. It was already night and I was already tired. I hope Brandon thinks about me. I don't know what team he is in. Maybe Silver or Gold. That means he would be in the same team as Andrea. I yawned and soon went to sleep.
