College of Magic

The Big Night

This week was quite exciting. Going to college and a magic one too! It was also boring though, there are still bad lessons. Tonight me and Andrea are planning to flirt with boys. Obviously I want to see Brandon again, I think Andrea just wasn't to flirt with random boys. I wonder if he thought about me? He definitely left me speechless. I lifted myself of the bed and went in my shopping bags. Me and Andrea had gone shopping for dresses, we also let Aila come. She was really shy and I think people were being mean to her so we invited her to come with us to the party. She seemed really happy and that was nice.
"Andrea,come here."
She walked out the bathroom with her makeup done. She had a navy blue eyeshadow on and all the other components. She had it to match the navy blue dress. I picked up a violet dress and a gold dress.
"The violet one or the gold one?"
"Hmm, I think the violet one. I think it would look nicer on you."
"Okay,thanks. I will get changed now then."
I got changed and didn't do special makeup. I didn't want to overdue it for Brandon or anyone else I saw. I slipped on my simple heels and looked in the mirror.
"Looking gorgeous Kaia."
"Says you, you look stunning."
She blushed.
"Ohhh, thanks Kaia. Can we go now?"
"Yeah, I'm ready."
We arrived at the main hall. It was decorated with colourful things and hangings. Me, Aila and Andrea all got a drink then set up for our missions.
"You girls ready?"
"Ohhh yeah,let's all meet at the girls toilets at 8 okay?"
"Okay."
"Sounds good."
We all parted, this probably sounded stupid. I just wanted to find this boy again for some reason. I walked across the balconies surrounding the building, he seemed like a calm character. So I assumed he might of been there. Suddenly I saw a figure, manly? Definitely manly, Brandon? Possibly Brandon. I walked over.
"Brandon?"
He turned around. Yes, it was him. Thank god.
"Oh hey Kaia. What's got you lurking around here?"
"Honestly, I wanted to find you."
His face was the sort of facial expression you can't read. It looked sort of proud and happy.
"Why would that be?"
"I just wanted to..Get to know you more. You seem like a good person."
I stood there quite embarrassed, with my hand on my elbow. For the start of the conversation I was rubbing it. I'm confident around my friends but shy around boys I'm interested in.
"I can agree and say the same about you, you seem intriguing Kaia."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I think you are."
I blushed. I blushed way too hard.
"Uh..uh. Brandon I have to tell you something soon."
I was going to tell him that I like him. In the past I had crushed on boys for too long. I didn't tell them so they ended up flirting with other girls and it hurt me. I was young and stupid though.
"Okay, I guess we can make an exchange."
"What do you mean?"
"You can tell me what you want to say and I will tell you what I want to say."
"Ohh, smart."
I walked over to the banister of the balcony and placed my hands on it.
"Wanna do something fun?"
I was a tad confused, what did he mean?
"We could go fly somewhere special."
Is he a Phoenix too? That means he is the same as me.
"Your a Phoenix?"
He nodded.
"I knew you were one because Phoenix's have powerful aura's"
"You are quite smart aren't you."
I smirked. He definitely saw me smirk.
"Maybe. C'mon let's go."
He transformed into his Phoenix form, I followed. He flew up quickly. His fur was a gorgeous colour. It was the same colour as his hair, deep red. He also had some yellow feathers, just like his hazel eyes. I was dark brown and light blue. I never really thought my feathers were pretty. But when I saw Brandon's, it made me want to dye my feathers! He looked bright and powerful.
I followed him and he went outside of campus. There were fields and trees. We landed on a tall tree, the view was amazing. There were fields of green and endless wildlife.
"I couldn't be here with anyone better."
I made my move. Yes! Hopefully it would go okay.
"Strongly agreed."
The way Phoenix's talked was with their minds. So people could here chirps but we could hear their voice in our head. Pretty cool, right? I wondered how he liked the school. It was his second year here so I wanted to see what his thoughts were.
"What do you think about this school? Cause it's your second year here."
"Well remembered, I think it's great. There are plenty of trips and good opportunities."
"I'm definitely excited to be here, I have done so much already."
We talked and soon went back. We didn't want people to think we were missing. We were on the balcony again, where the night started. I decided to talk first.
"Brandon, I want to get to know you more. You know meet up again?"
"So do I Kaia. You know a trip is coming up soon. We could apply together?"
"Oh yeah, that sounds fun."
He walked me back to my room and I flirtatiously said goodbye. This boy keeps on surprising me.
