All the other teenagers pretty much felt the same as we did, surprised and scared. Yet I already knew being up here would be great. I definitely needed to tell my mother, Aila and Andrea. I just left them, they would be so worried. Just like the last time I went away but this time I'm not coming back hurt. The other teenagers had been here maybe a couple of days and they told us a bit about "this place", it was actually called Land of Light. So they controlled what happened on Earth and tried to protect the good. I was looking forward to protecting the good and the life on Earth. The one thing I didn't know was how to get back to Earth. I found Hyacinth and gave him a kind wave.
"Hey Hyacinth!"
"Hello dear Kaia, what do you need?"
"How do I get back to Earth?"
"Okay there are two ways, your mind or a portal. You can think of here and it should teleport you or you can summon a portal. But you must close it after, humans could come up here and that wouldn't be good...You have had portal lessons right?"
"Yeah, in class."
"Yes so exactly like that but make one here. Got it?"
"Yes thank you, also can I tell people?"
I said it quieter because I didn't know what he would think about this.
"Yes but do be careful, only tell people close to you and that you trust fully."
"Okay thanks again, bye."
"Goodbye Kaia."
I made a portal and went back to Earth, I told Aila and Andrea everything. They were astonished and in shock. Brandon soon came down too and told his friends everything.
The last person I had to tell was my mother. I called her up and said I would meet her out of town. I walked to our favourite park near our neighbourhood and brought a drink with me. I saw my mother approaching wearing an all white outfit, looking gorgeous as always.
"Hey mum."
I ran up to her and gave her a tight hug. She wrapped her arms around me and rubbed my back. It felt so good to be in her embrace again.
"I missed you so much darling. Was it good, college?"
I brought myself out of the hug and sat down on the bench.
"Yeah it was great, sit down."
"Nice to hear, friends too?"
"Yeah...Also a boyfriend?"
I raised my voice higher at the end of the sentence hoping she wouldn't care. She knew about my dating past and how I was stupid. This time I hope she noticed he had good intentions with me.
"What! What's his name?"
She said excitedly, her eyes lit up.
"Brandon."
"Is he a keeper?"
"Yep."
"Finally Kaia, a boy that will actually treat you right! Result..."
She leaned back in the bench and gave a puzzled face, I couldn't read it.
"I have something to tell you mum."
"So do I, I'm guessing you know now?"
"Know what?"
"Your a god."
"You know?"
"The Gods kept in touch with me, I knew since you were a baby."
"Why don't you tell me?"
"They advised me not to because you might of told everyone or took it the wrong way. I'm..I'm angel Kaia."
"You are! I knew it."
"You did? Don't be angry at me, I just didn't want to overwhelm you."
"No it's fine mum, so I will see you in the Land of Light?"
"Yes, I am a fertility angel up there. I choose life and help parents get pregnant. It's been my job since I was your age. I was overwhelmed but it paid off, I couldn't ask for a better job. Helping parents is the best I could ever do."
"I'm the God of Water now, I will be very busy."
"Yes indeed you will. It doesn't matter though, the College know you are. You will have absent days, but they know..."
Happiness, warmth, sun. My soul was finally happy. I felt worthy. I felt good that I was able to help people. I could give the less fortunate rain water when their throats were parched. I could give people clean water. I could help the Earth grow and live. I was proud, my mother was and my friends were too. So was Brandon, proud of what I was. I couldn't wait for my future and what it holds.
