Application

The week went by slowly, I did learn a lot of things though. Me and Aila got closer, she was a shy one. But when you get to know her, she all of a sudden becomes confident. It was good, she came out her shell in the end. Me and Brandon had spoken since and today we were applying for the trip. It said it was a trip which tested loyalty and strength. They never told us what it was. I guess that was just so surprise us and challenge us. I told the girls that I applied and that they could too. They weren't interested, they said they wanted to focus on school work. Anyway, I was excited to go on this trip with Brandon. If I actually get in, I hope I do. It would be a perfect time for me and Brandon to know each other more. He knows now that I'm interested so hopefully he won't hurt my feelings.
Today was the day they were announcing who got in for the trip. It had been three weeks since I joined this college. I had basically made Aila and Andrea my best friends now. Especially having sleepovers with Andrea every night. It was fun. Me and Andrea went to the hall after we had our breakfast. We were joined by Brandon and his friend too. Aila also came to hang out with us. The headmaster came to the front of the hall.
"Welcome students, I hope the new-comers settles in nicely. Today is our first monthly assembly, your assessments also will be in a week! Study and do your best. Now, I have got the results for who is going on this trip. Well done to the successful applicants. Libby Wilson, Tyler Redding, Anna Harper, Teddy Lee, Kaia Silverstorm and Brandon Blaze.
Well done to everyone who got in, go to the Trips Office before lessons. Your all dismissed."
As soon as he said Kaia Silverstorm and Brandon Blaze, my face lit up! I was so excited to go and excited to see what the trip was.
"Brandon! We got in!"
"I know, I'm so happy!"
Everyone rose from their seats and went to lessons, except for the applicants. We went to the Trips Office and were told to sit down. A purple-eyed woman walked over and sat down.
"Well some students. You were picked not only for your grades but for your power. All of you have got powers that are exceeding your targets. You can pair up, one boy and one girl per pair."
I nodded at Brandon, we were now a pair.
The other students paired up quickly too.
"That was quick, well now I must tell you what this trip is. It's not really a leisure trip but this will make your reputation good. It will also be put on you certification. You will be sent to Availia's king. You will be assigned to be his guards. This trip is not planned by us, so anybody dangerous could come into Availia. Also there are thief's and criminals. Keep together and you will be fine. You may seriously injure somebody and you may kill somebody. You have permission to do whatever you need to do in order to protect the king. You will leave tomorrow, be packed with your necessities. You will be given uniform by the king. Good luck and well done."
While she was speaking she gave us letters, it was what she went over. She walked over to the door and opened the door for us. We all thanked her and walked out.
"OMG Brandon, this is massive!"
"I didn't think this trip was something this large."
I was so excited. This was a time to prove my loyalty and power. I must practise my powers before I go. I wonder what it will be like. I get to be with Brandon anyway. I'm going to miss Andrea and Aila, they will be fine on their own.
Me and Brandon went to lessons and parted. I couldn't wait for the trip. We were going so soon too! Tomorrow!
