Dan's POV

*1 year later*

Standing next to him live on BBC Radio 1 that morning was proving to be more nerve-racking than enjoyable for reasons he would soon know.

"Good morning or afternoon or whatever time of day it is where you are, everyone!"

Phil said animatedly into the microphone in front of him.

"I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas Eve! Phil and I certainly are, here in this comfy studio."

I said.

"We're going to start this session out with a holiday-themed 7 seconds challenge, today."

He continued.

My heart leapt in my chest.

Looking over at Phil, time seemed to freeze. I saw his perfect black hair fall down over his beautiful moon-like eyes, two orbs of blue-green that allowed me to stare straight into his beautiful soul.

I. Was. So. In. Love. With. That. Boy.

It seemed ridiculous, but even after the countless days we had spent together, and all the battles we had fought, hand-in-hand, my heart welled with joy every time I saw him. How could I be so lucky to deserve someone like him? How could it be possible that Phillip Lester was all mine?

Dear lord, Dan, you are such a sap. Shut up before I vomit.

Quickly averting my eyes to the window, I saw a single snowflake fall from the sky. Then another. And another. Soon, the sky was releasing a torrent of powdery white ice to the ground outside. The sight brought back memories of Phil and I's first kiss behind that old coffee shop last winter. What a perfect night that was.

When I was finally brought back into reality, Phil had just begun the challenge.

"Ill go first."

He said, smiling over at me.

My heart fluttered.

"You have seven seconds to... Become a reindeer!"

He said, chuckling.

I whirled around to the table and grabbed a piece of red paper and quickly taped it to the top of my nose.

"I'm Rudolph!"

I laughed.

"Good job, Dan."

Phil said light-heartedly.

"My turn... Ah... Phil... You have seven seconds to..."

I stuttered, heart pounding and hands trembling.

"Say yes."

I finished and grabbed the gold ring from my pocket.

Feeling as though my heart was about to explode, I knelt down to balance on one knee in front of him.

His eyes went wide and he gasped, throwing his hands over his gaping mouth.

"Phillip Lester... I have loved you for as long as I can remember... And you're everything to me. Please, make me the happiest person alive this Christmas... And marry me."

Tears welled up in his beautiful eyes and began to spill down his flushed cheeks. He couldn't speak, but rather viciously nodded, grabbing both my hands and pulling me back up to a standing position, then throwing his arms around my neck and half-laughing half-crying into the soft fabric of my sweater.

I heard the gasps and screams of everyone in the studio, then shouts of joy as Phil joyfully connected his lips with mine, ring now on his finger.

What lovely snowflakes.
