We dropped elena off at her house, Jeremy and Bonnie were already there, making Elena run into their arms. I hopped out of the car, moving up to the front seat. I moved my body so that I could look at Damon, making him uncomfortable.
"Have you ever heard the saying 'if looks could kill?'" Damon asks Stefan. Stefan nods his head laughing slightly.
"You'd be dead brother." Stefan says.

Stefans POV:

"Iris. Look at me." I pleaded to Iris. Iris is an original, and she never told me.
"You know... I've never really liked you." She said to Damon. There was pain and hurt in her voice. "And personally... I think stefans life is hell because of you."
"Fun fact I've never liked you Iris." Damon said.
"Damon you're not helping yourself." Elena said. "Iris please." Elena begs.
"Iris please I'm begging you. Look at me." I beg one more. I'd like to think that it's my voice that brakes her, that it's my voice who pulls her out of her wrath.
"You really do look like her." She comments, looking at Elena. I had to wrap my arms around elena so that she doesn't run up to Iris. She's still human.
"Iris. I don't know you. But I know you wouldn't kill the man I love. Don't you have someone that you would do anything to save? You'd risk your own life?" Do I have someone? I ask myself. It used to be Elena. Now I'd like to think it's my brother. Hell, I've almost died multiple times for him.
"Yes I do." She says with a long shaky breath.
"Who is it?" Elena asked. Iris makes dead eye contact with me for a couple moments. Me?
"Elena. I have two people in this world that I would risk absolutely everything for. And one of them just so happens to be my brother Elijah." Iris finally says. Iris then focuses back on Damon. I speed up to her, placing my hand on her arm gently.
"Please let go." I say to her one last time. Iris looks to her brother, and all of the anger swirls out of her eyes. They start to flicker between purple and blue. It's almost like shes at war with herself. One side will snap Damon's neck without hesitation, and the other half wants to run to her brother. She lowers her hands off of Damon's neck. She ignores the fact that he falls to the floor, and she walks over to her brother.
"I can't betray him." Her fragile voice says. "He's all I have left."
"Elena, get him out of here." I order Elena. She nods.
"Brother." Her voice starts to crack as tears go down her face. "Elijah you have to come back. You have to help me. I can't stop him by myself. Elijah please." She begs and begs and begs. This breaks my heart. This is my best friend, and this has to be one of the hardest things I've ever witnessed.
"He's gone." I tell her. She looks at me, her eyes red and covered in tears. She completely collapsed in my arms. "Come one iris. We have to go." She takes a second to look at Elijah. She then nods and stands up. I walk her out to the car, both of us sitting in the back.
"Thank you for saving me today." Elena says to Iris. She flashes a smile.
      "You're welcome."
"So.. Um.. what's your story?" Elena asked after long moments of silence.
       "My story?" She asks.
"Yeah. Like Katherine turned Damon and Stefan." Iris lets out a small chuckle.
"Buckle up.. this is gonna be a long story." Iris says. Elena nodded. " so young Elena, I was born in a time before we had a calendar. Hell, even before we had a sense of time. I was born in the good old tenth century." What?
"But that's impossible. I turned you."
"Well I better give you your memories back."
"What do you mean?"
"You'll see." Iris looks me in the eyes. "You're gonna remember the truth." Everything comes flooding back at me. I never turned Iris. She turned me, then completely erased my memories. We were together. I loved her. Omg. I loved her.
"Anyway. My mother was a witch, and my father was a brutal man. My parents had seven loving kids, who loved one another. Niklaus, Elijah, Finn, Kol, Rebekah, and Me. We had a youngest brother, but I do not remember his name." I take a deep breath. "Since my mother was a witch, I ended up being the one in the new generation to inherit the gene. Klaus, my eldest brother, got the wolf gene. None of us knew it. Long story short, my youngest brother got mauled by a pack. Killed him while Niklaus watched. We were humans among wolves. We were scared, and alone."
"So how did you end up being Vampires?" Damon asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" I grab onto Iris' hand. "Back to the story. My mother wanted to protect us. She wanted us to be strong enough to fight the bloody animals if anything just so happens to happen again. She casted a spell, killing us, turning us. And with that our senses grew, along with our most prominent behaviors."
"What do you mean by prominent behaviors?" Elena asked me.
"It's kinda hard to explain. Out of my siblings we all have a characteristic that our parents defined us by. Elijah the Honest, Kol the Vengeful, Finn the Humble, Rebekah the Lustful, Klaus the Leader, and Ivanka the Powerful."
"Oh." Elena said. "Wait so your full name is Ivanka?"
"You see why I changed it to Iris." She giggled. "Anyway, the day Klaus killed our mother triggered his curse, and triggered mine."
"You have a curse?" Damon asked.
"That's the term. But all of my mothers magic filled my body, adding to my own. And since I'm the original witch, I get a percentage of any witches power who dies. That adds up over a thousand years."
"So what you're telling me, is that you are the most powerful being on the earth?" Damon asked.
"Yep."
"Great." Damon said. Iris and I are going to have a big talk when we get back to the boarding house.
